Why don't vegeta and goku wish for eternal youth?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Eternal youth isn't necessary; they don't seem to want to live forever, they just want to train as hard as they can and become as strong as possible.
But eternal youth does not make you live forever as you can still die. People seem to be confusing this with immortality which is different. It just makes it so they don't lose gains or have a crawl in their progress as fighters due to the effects of aging.

I'm not confusing the 2. It's exactly like Roshi. He can't die of old age and will live forever, but he can still die. At least, if they wish for "eternal" youth.

But besides that, the thought likely doesn't ever occur to them. They think of methods to improve how well they train, such as weights, gravity, time chambers, etc.

A wish for eternal youth isn't really something that I imagine would occur to them. It's not directly related to their training, and it's not something they themselves care about on its own. Basically, if it doesn't have anything to do with improving their training and strength progression directly that's within their own power, there's no point.

By now they can both retain their bodies and train after death so what's the point?
