How long would it take for Indiana Jones to gather the Dragon Balls?

I'm not an Indy fan or anything, I'm just using him as an example of a "treasure hunter", which I know isn't an accurate description of Indy. I could've said the character in those Nic Cage movies, or whoever you'd like that goes on these kind of adventures.
Basically, without a radar, without being able to fly, without having super-human strenght, without having all the advantages the DB characters have when gathering them, how long would it take for somebody, who knows their craft and has the financial means to search for them?

So you guys can understand where this weird thread is coming from, re-watching GT, the DBs were fucked up because the guys used them A LOT in 30 years not letting them "recover" after being used. Clearly, they weren't meant to be available at the drop of a hat to be used so regularly, they are more like a once-in-a-lifetime event.

So, how long would it take to gather all of them with the current technological advances?(without a radar, that is) and assuming there isn't one at the bottom of the ocean where not even submarines go, or somewhere unreacheable, of course.

Could they be gathered more than once by the same fella?

Given that it takes Indiana Jones a whole film's worth of time to find a treasure after hearing about it, it could be several months or years even to find a single dragonball without a radar. Had Goku been recruited by Indy instead of by Bulma, we could expect that they wouldn't complete the journey until Goku was an adult.

Really depends if someone else found them first, then he could follow rumors and clues, etc.

If they're just laying around in the middle of the wilderness a thousand miles from anyone he might never find them. (Unless you account for Hollywood plot convenience).
