Filler characters?

Post by Sun_Wukong » Thu Aug 26, 2004 10:42 am

Has anyone compiled a list of characters that are only in the anime?

Is it just me or is it that except for the 22nd budoukai Chaozu feels like filler even in the manga? :P

Those two ogres from Hell were just filler, right? Grand Kai? Actually, all the Kais and characters introduced in that same otherworld saga that wasted our time between Cell and Buu. That includes that damn Piccolo wannabe from the afterlife tournament. Those two aliens who tricked Gohan and Krillin into wasting yet more of our time. That stupid mobster guy from just before the Cell games (I don't know if he had a name).

Yeah, and uh... Krillin. That about does it.

Yep, and to add onto what's already been said, there's also Maron from the Garlic Jr. saga, Lime from a filler episode set right before the Cell Games, and this one young girl and her brother from one episode in the Cell saga that Krillin saved from Cell form 1. (pretty sure that little scene never happened.)

There might be more, but I can't remember them at the moment.

He was in it for like two panels though wasnt he? And since when is Krillin a filler character? Is that little blind boy that Majin Buu healed a filler character? Ooh, and Marron from the Garlic Jr. saga is filler.

The blind dude was actually in the manga.

All the aliens Son Gohan, Kuririn, and Bulma encountered on the way to Namek are filler. Garlic Jr. and his henchmen have been mentioned. Er...if you count the movies, the new characters from the movies are filler...in a sense. There's also the cricket dude on Kaiou sama's planet. I'm not sure if he's filler but I don't remember seeing him in the manga.

Gregory's anime-onnly. I find it funny that, in shots from the manga, he always appears in the background, just.... hovering.

All those people from Ox-King's village are filler. Heck, Goku and Chi Chi's wedding was only filler. Just as, since the other guys weren't in attendance.

Tell me you guys remember the Inoshikacho. He was in the same episode Tenshinhan and Chouzu were introduced.

I remember Inoshikacho; I had no clue he was a filler character though. I should've guessed, since the fact that Tenshinhan and Chaozu were first traveling con-men, then Crange Hermits fighters doesn't make sense.

Pretty much all the villagers from DB are filler, except the ones from Oolong's village, and most of Jingle Village.

The kids Gohan fights social services against are filler, as are the kids they meet in space. Freeza's goons that try to steal Bulma's DB are filler, as are all the ones Ginyu kills.

Arlia. The filler planet. Oh, also, wouldn't the tiger be considered filler?

Didnt Planet Namek mention on their biographies section wich characters were filler? Did anyone by chance save that? Yeah, Izlude youre only half right. Lunch was filler in DBZ, except the scene where she gets drunk at a bar after Tenshinhan dies, i think.
