Waiting for better confirmation. If you receive this kind of scoop in an interview, one would think you should publish the actual quote alongside it. Curious what the language used was between the two languages, what may have been misconstrued in translation, etc.

I'll wait for confirmation before I literally lose my shit with excitement, but if it's true it's not a surprise - just a tad earlier than expected. I didn't think we'd receive news on a new movie until next year sometime.

Going off Battle of Gods and Resurrection "F", this doesn't really seem like the way they would reveal another film.

Not to mention Resurrection "F" just premiered earlier this year. Toei has their hands on too many series as it is, "F" had a terrible schedule, there was an announcement for a new One Piece film if I remember correctly as well...who would even be working on this? Not expecting real info on a potential new movie until at least next year, for release in 2017, so I'm not buying it till I see proof.

They have only said that there will be a new film. They have not specified when it will begin production.

No surprise here. Of course they would want to make another one considering that the next one would be the 20th Dragon Ball film.....HOWEVER! It probably won't release til next year due to the new One Piece movie next year so I'd say it'll probably release in 2017, following the whole year break in between BoG and F. Just please don't make it a Universe 6 arc movie.

If it's true then it's not surprising considering how successful BOG&FNF are.

The story will more then likely be the upcoming tournament cause they'll want to promote the movie as a Toriyama work and that'll be the best way to do it especially since they already have movies revolving around Super's 1st 2 arcs.

In terms of it's release it'll probably be in late 2016 or early 2017.

I guess each movie will be based of an arc from Super so one for the tournament,one for the super dragon ball search&one for whatever arc that'll be after them.

I don't think they'll announce anything till mid next year but it's good to know they at least have plans to move foreword with more movies.

Given how much money that ROF made then it's surprising that they want to do another movie. I hope they are not going to retell the U6 saga into a movie because it would feel pointless.

Yeah this seems like a we have plans for a Dragon Ball film type thing rather than an actual announcement, assuming Yamamuro wasn't misquoted or somethin' and this is genuinely a legit scoop. Toei have a lot on their plate right now so 2017 would make sense for a new DB film.
