Make that two of us with 6/7.BlackCatScott wrote:This happened. 6/7 obtained. Box 2 required...but I'll never pay the money they go for so my Dragon Box collection may remain forever incomplete. While I well overpaid for this, I think I got a pretty decent deal on most other sets so I'm not too bothered considering the money for it has came out of my bonus and t's a set I really wanted.

I finally bought and read Jaco The Galactic Patrolman and I absolutely adore it. I really want to see Toei adapt this story in a film or OVA. It's really great and I'll definitely read it again some time.

Huh. I didn't know they made their way through the entire series (that was released in print anyway). South Korea seems to get a lot of the same goodies Japan gets.
I'm disappointed the US doesn't get the same treatment, but I guess I shouldn't expect them to.

Got this today. Even though it's orange brick light, the fact it's semi rare and has a cool cover got me to get it

I just bought a digital manga after taking a hiatus from fandoms in general.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
I have (relatively) recently started collecting all of the German manga volumes. The one that you see at the top is actually a two-in-one, which I don't recommend, because it's tiny, has terrible paper, and doesn't have the spine image. That one is actually not a recent purchase, though. It's a few years old, but the other three I got over the course of the past two months or so (because of shipping times). It's completely uncensored as far as I know and has an arguably superior translation to that of Viz. Hopefully I can ask for a few more for Christmas.

I bought the australian single DVDs of DBZ on ebay for androids through cell games so that way I could finally complete my collection of the original voices since they replaced the narrator in the English DVDs and VHS tapes.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Both the U.S. DVD singles and the Australian DVD singles replace Dale Kelly's narration with Kyle Hebert's on the third disc in the Cell Games saga and onward. The U.S. VHS tapes don't do this until the sixth VHS tape in the saga. I have heard that the Australian VHS tapes in the Cell Games saga have all of the original Dale Kelly narrations intact, but I haven't been able to confirm this myself.Tatakae!!Ramenman wrote:I bought the australian single DVDs of DBZ on ebay for androids through cell games so that way I could finally complete my collection of the original voices since they replaced the narrator in the English DVDs and VHS tapes.

So, I haven't purchased this (and don't really think I would), but this didn't seem like it merited it's own thread, but did feel like something I wanted to post about...so yeah.

Yikes over $200? That does not seem worth it at all.
