Well there's three different shots showing that he's a lot bigger than Trunks. In the shot with it behind the flames you can kinda make out giant fingers and I'm not sure if he has horns.

So it definitely doesn't seem like that is Black Goku to me. Unless it is some kind of minion or perhaps he can shape shift.

They kinda look like Zoroarks to me. When you see the silhouette of the hands up close, they don't look like human hands, just the one that stops Trunks' sword.

Yeah. He also looks relatively humanoid in the new shot of him firing the ki barrage like Vegeta in the new PV,

Maybe the thing that's chasing Trunks is like Black Goku minion or something. Like with that we can explain why Mai using a shotgun is kind of effective.

After having watched the new PV with the new scenes from EP 47, I still think it's very strange that in all the scenes we have seen so far of Trunks fighting that Black thing, he does it without transforming in Super Saiyan.

Well, the Black from EP 47 seems more like a monstrous humanoid than a Goku itself.
I bet we are going to see some transformations from him before he gets that "Goku Black" form

That ki barrage, in the new trailer.. That is not goku's move, it looks like vegeta's move..
I am going with the theory there are other black characters as well, preferably z gang's black versions

It's not a Goku staple technique, but it's not like he hasn't used it before. Hell, the ki barrages were all over the Golden Freeza material in Super.

That preview video is badass! But things don't look good for future Bulma... At least Mai is continuing to look super cute.

Nice that we're getting a better view of Gokuu Black's outfit. So it looks like he's wearing a dougi similar to what regular Gokuu would wear, only in dark gray color. And the single Potara adds intrigue, making it seem more likely that fusion will be involved somehow.

And look, another ad with purple-haired Future Trunks. I guess not everyone got the memo that he's going blue

You are right actually, but that's not the only thing, the shadow looked like vegeta to me ( maybe I am wrong here ), and then there is also a wolf in the skies, could be signifying yamcha, I don't remember any other character having such a attack or skill..
Then there is the poster which kind of implies mai and trunks are surrounded..

You also have the official word saying goku and vegeta find themselves in many tough battles, can't just be goku black
