What? The endings got better and better. The one right now with Goku on the nimbus is the best one imo. We were bound to get a bad one after having such good ones.

I have a hard time imagining how this would work in an ending song after a tense episode of this dark cour. And what type of visuals will accompany that?

You guys talk about endings like they always had been dark or adjusted at the series tone... Endings are mostly ballads or rhythmic song with a goofy touch.

Man, listening to those again makes me wish they'd some sort of "remaster"/remix to them like how did with Cha-la Head Cha-la.

I wouldn't call them the same kind of song, or even the exact same tone, but that does raise an interesting point - episodes dealing with our heroes getting killed off, Namek constantly five minutes away from exploding, the Androids beating the crap out of people - those all ended with Zenkai Power, which is pretty absurdly upbeat sounding for everyting happening in said episodes.

Heck, even for the latter portions of Dragon Ball, where Daimao is offing our heroes, ends with 'Romantic Ageru Yo'. So the new song isn't really any more 'clashing' when you think about it. That's to say nothing of the song's quality one way or another though.

Despite the majority of hating the current ED song I for one actually like it, its like a song for a club/disco or something, but this upcoming one.... its like... sweet and vanilla with a mix of little moe girl type of song.... unless this song is based for baby Pan or the soon to be born Bulla then I rest my case.
Cant really say this is something new because the FnF end credit song was sorta like this, but that was a one time song so I didnt pay much attention to it.... but this Yoka Yoka dance one will last for 12 or 13 episodes.... this will be hell waiting for it to end to see the preview.

I just listened to the new ending song and... well... to put it bluntly: I hate it. Holy fuck I hate it so much. I don't think this will ever grow on me.

I'm only curious to see Yamamuro's animation alongside this completely weird and unpleasant music.

Man, I've loved all of Super's endings so far. Sucks to hear a song like this in one of the endings.

I think people complaining is not because they want a ED that fits with the tone of the actual arc, but yes because we had enough of these idol groups with their extremely cheerful auto-tune remixed songs

Quoting ya because everyone seems to have disliked one ED or another... but I have actually really, really enjoyed all of Super's EDs. Granted, I also really adore every single one of GT's EDs, despite them not really fitting the "Dragon Ball" aesthetic. ..."Detekoi Tobikiri ZENKAI Pawā!" never really did either. I guess I've always loved songs like "DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete 'ku" and "Hitori ja Nai" because they accurately express how I feel when I think of Dragon Ball, my childhood, growing up and everything in between. For me, Super's OP and EDs have nailed that.

...until now. I really don't know what else I can add that hasn't been touched upon. "Yoka-Yoka Dance" doesn't sound all that great. I know it's not quite aligned with my own tastes and I'd like to think I'm open to a range of genres in music, but... I won't hold my breath for the animation unless the song gets an alternate remix. I sincerely doubt it, however.
