What the?
Garlic Jr. arc ahead of Great Saiyaman episodes, Babidi arc (what is that, just the eps where they fought Dabura and everyone?), the Otherworld tournament and World Tournament?
Aw, hell no.

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
Ah yes, who can forget the 5 episode Raditz saga ?
Seriously, why the fuck did they use those names (The names are from the Wiki, so yeah great start) ? I know everyone has different names for the arcs and I'd be stupid if I expected everyone else to use mine, but the so called "Babidi", "Trunks" and "Raditz" sagas, are like 13 episodes combined.
Also, could they have picked a more confusing name for the Gotenks and Super Boo episodes ?

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
"Broly Saga," heh.
I think it's funny that they use mostly the old Funimation "saga" divisions from their single DVD releases, but confusingly also divide up sagas that weren't divided by Funimation ("Raditz Saga," "Other World Saga"), and also combine sagas that were seperate in Funimation's release (Only one "Cell Saga" besides Cell Games; no "Captain Ginyu Saga").
What kind of logic were they using when they decided that Funimation's "Captain Ginyu Saga" should just be combined with the Namek arc, but at the same time the "Trunks Saga" and "Babidi Saga" deserved to exist?
When Funimation first released the series on DVD in the US in the early 2000s, they divided the series into much smaller story arcs so that they could sell box sets of "Sagas" that were usually about 3-5 volumes (3-4 episodes per volume).
The longest Funimation "Saga" was the "Frieza Saga" (episodes 75-107), at ten volumes. It also never got a box set release, only the individual volumes. The second longest, the 9 volume "Cell Games Saga" also never received a complete box set release, although they did sell a box that you could put all the volumes in once they were released.

Yes. It covers episodes 220-231.precita wrote:Babidi arc (what is that, just the eps where they fought Dabura and everyone?)

CBR is a corporate shill site that exists to regurgitate Marvel and DC PR. Pay no mind.

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
To be fair, the wiki is using the recent official timeline from Toei's website that refers to the first few episodes as the "Raditz Saga" and the final few episodes of the Kid Boo Saga as the "Peaceful World Saga". Nevertheless, the wiki still annoys me to no end at times.Soppa Saia People wrote:Ah yes, who can forget the 5 episode Raditz saga ?

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
The fact that he praised Broli then called Cell a boring villain and weak character kills any credibility to this list.

Amateurs. How can they not include the Snake Way saga and the RoSaT saga?

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
Did you read the list? The joke is that CBR took a ridiculous approach when dividing up the sagas. Raditz being the primary example.Soppa Saia People wrote:Don't think so, but if it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Jinzoningen MULE wrote:It was a joke.Soppa Saia People wrote: If you're talking about the Gotenks stuff, that's "Fusion".

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
Once I saw "Broly" on the list, I think it's safe to say to that this list has no real validity and the author of this article has not really watched the show properly.

What's wrong with Babidi and the Great Saiyaman? Also, I don't think Vegeta is the 2nd best saga.

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
Broly saga ? I'm not expecting casual fans to know everything about the franchise like us but if someone remembers so little about it that they think Broly had an arc in the anime then they shouldn't be doing these lists.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
I stopped going on the wiki years ago back in highschool when I fixed a mistake in one of the trivia (dub trivia too) and someone changed it back.clutchins wrote:Nevertheless, the wiki still annoys me to no end at times.

Re: CBR ranks the DBZ sagas
It's going by how Funimation initially divided up the series (where every sub-arc ended up being called a "saga", pretty much). Presumably "Babidi" is referring to the part where they go into his ship and have the fights with Puipui/Yakon/Dabra/Majin Vegeta.sangofe wrote:Since when was there a saga "babidi"? And huh...
