You'll never know until you buy them. All I can say is that I don't know about eBay's protection policy, but if it's a B.S. listing, in the very least you'd definitely have PayPal protection if you buy through them. I once bought "Tree of Might" expecting it to be the Pioneer version as shown in the picture, but he seller sent me the Funimation disc in a slip cover. The seller wouldn't respond to me. I contacted PayPal and they told me that they'd try to reach the seller. After a while, they just told me to keep the disc as they refunded me my money.

The picture is using stock art of them, but the fact that it's called "Dragon Ball Dragonball" doesn't bode well.

I wouldn't risk it. Better off with a more reputable distributor then "random anonymous person in China, land of the cheap knock-offs".

You should just buy them from Amazon as those seem fake. Ebay is known for those kinds of products being everywhere so there's no reason to risk losing your money.

Yeah, I'm not interested in buying them. Curious if they've made a relica of the same packaging or if they'll send a different product all together. There's so many different listings similar

Clearly bootlegs. Sourced from China but using Funimation box art.

the interesting thing is that I've never seen a dvd replica of the offical release. they always use their own packaging.

i think I'm gonna take one for the team and buy them. need to see what these are like. who knows if they are really good imitations and US people are reselling them as offical release.

They exist and the quality is about as bad as you'd expect - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=26040#p747550

A lot of things are getting bootlegged now. True Tears hasn't even hit street date and apparently our set has already been bootlegged. So has that HUGE Ghibli set that Disney put out a while back. I expect to see our Fist of the North Star set pop up bootlegged soon. That's just how it is, it seems. That Evangelion Platinum set is also something that's been bootlegged a lot.

What sucks is all we can really do is order these retailers out and then report them for selling bootlegs, thus getting our money back.

Generally speaking, if you see something on Amazon or Ebay that's waaaaay under the current going price... there's likely something fishy.
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

you mean the Hayao Miyazaki collection? are they identical bootlegs?

theres a big difference between a bootleg that obviously isnt an exact copy and something that copies everything almost perfectly with little defects... then you play the disc to find the shittiest video in the world lol!
