Kanzenshuuers gone MAD!

I hope that Toei, FUNimation and Columbia receive similar amount of messages and letters!
We NEED to use this opportunity!

Precisely! That's one of a good argument. Our presentation contains everything that can be said about this.

I have a few questions about the blu-ray's: In the orange brick set of episode 55 if you watch it with US broadcast audio most of the sound effects are gone, is this problem fixed in the blu-ray episode with US broadcast audio? My second question is if the Blu-ray fixed the muffled audio on Cha La Head Cha La for the cell saga version of the opening. :)

You're referring to episode 70 (uncut), not 55. I believe when redubbing that episode for 2007 they lost the original music stems and had to replace it with different cues. I can't remember where I heard this, but I think it's the prevailing theory, if not official story.

I have no idea about the other thing though.

No, why would it? It's fiction. The strength of the characters is not possible to reach in reality.
I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

No, he is definitely talking about episode 55, where Vegeta breaks out of the healing tank. He is talking about SFX, not music. For some reason, about half of those are missing in this one episode.

Yea :) Is it still an issue on the blu ray? Any other audio track is fine for that episode except the US broadcast audio.

I checked episode 55 from a Season Blu-ray rip last night and it has the sound effects on the US music track. So it looks like the issue was fixed.

What? There's nothing that makes the "English audio" a must have. It's really just another foreign dub out of the tons that were made in the past.

For you the "English audio" is a must, for the next fan the "Spanish audio" is a must, for the next fan the "French audio" is a must, for the next fan the "German audio" is a must, and so on.

Besides, there's more than one English dub of Dragon Ball Z. This mentality that people around the world and Toei should care for the Funimation Dub is just downright ludicrous.

each countries should have the best uncut audio in their own language, some dub was uncut originally and been cut after that and the missing part are now gone, it's a waste
having a multilanguage release with others audios that are useless in the countries is a ridiculous idea.

I'm in France, and if you made a release with 10 differrent language (for example) do you think that lot of people that will buy the dvd will listen each dub?
english will listen english dub and japanese one, french will listen french and maybe japanese etc...

i agree that all people that think that the english dub should be used in foreign release are just arrogant and far than reality

Should but don't. However, some of those countries without an unofficial DVD release rely on TV airings even to today.
HakkaiBills93 wrote:some dub was uncut originally and been cut after that and the missing part are now gone
The Spanish DBZ uncut release had missing scenes and then they subbed those parts with Japanese audio.
HakkaiBills93 wrote:having a multilanguage release with others audios that are useless in the countries is a ridiculous idea.
Totally. It's a waste of space having multiple dubs, the basic is the Country Dub + the Original Japanese Audio, nothing else.
HakkaiBills93 wrote:I'm in France, and if you made a release with 10 differrent language (for example) do you think that lot of people that will buy the dvd will listen each dub?
Like I said, it's a waste of space, a waste of money and a waste of time synchronizing foreign dubs.
HakkaiBills93 wrote:english will listen english dub and japanese one, french will listen french and maybe japanese etc...
Ditto.

European Dragon Ball fans typically stick by their country dub and for any missing scenes it'll be in Japanese with subtitles.
HakkaiBills93 wrote:i agree that all people that think that the english dub should be used in foreign release are just arrogant and far than reality
Yeah, and it would feel very random and vague as to why they would choose the English Funi dub over the French dub, Spanish dub, Portuguese dub, German dub, Brazilian dub, Mexican dub, Catalan dub or whatever-dub.

Each Dragon Ball fan of different countries would feel infuriated that one was picked over the other because it's more "popular" and a "must have". No, there's no reason to have foreign dubs.

P.S. The Japanese Dragon Box Z did have a special video featuring Dragon Ball Z dubbed in foreign dubs so I'd guess that's as far as we'll get to a Por/Esp/Eng/Fra dub on DB JPN.

The complete series box set is on sale on Amazon for $126 today. Cheapest I've ever seen it. Was thinking about how back in the day I felt lucky to buy a DBZ single DVD for $30 if it had four episodes on it. Now you can get all 291 episodes for roughly the price of four of those old DVDs.

Though you're only getting two thirds of the picture, so it's slightly less of a deal. :P

(Sorry, couldn't resist)
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Still too much for what it is, imo. The cropping is somewhat better than the Orange Bricks though it shouldn't even have been done, the original AR is fullscreen and the filters they applied to it just made it look like a water paint artwork.

If someone asks me what DBZ release they should buy from Funimation, I just say the Dragon Boxes Z or wait for the next release (hopefully they'll do a better job than the Orange Bricks / Season BDs).
