That power up will always feel completely ridiculous to me, so, if anything, it's Freeza from Super that feels weird to me.

It could work, for me at least, if Freeza was brought back to live during, for example, during 3 year time skip before fight with cyborgs. Having Freeza recieve such boost in few months, is one of biggest BS in this series.

I agree with that. No matter that it's been 3 years after Ressurection of F, I'll never buy how Freeza got so strong in such a short time, but there's nothing to do about that, just tolerate.

Perhaps they took some inspiration from Freeza's cage in DBS?

Interesting that we already saw a double-handed Makankosappo back in the Nappa fight and it looked different but maybe Salagir forgot about it or didn't know it existed.

A single Makankosappo performed using both hands =/= two Makankosappos performed simultaneously, one with each hand. We saw the first in the Nappa fight. We saw the second on this page.

Funny, how Freeza got cut into pieces, yet Cooler was only disarmed :)

It might just be my Piccolo bias, but those last couple of pages have been some of the best in any fan-manga I've ever seen.

The Cold vs Bra fight was pretty spectacular too, but I feel this tops it by quite a large margin.

I know Freeza is a weakling and all but he keeps being treated like a joke.

I like the page, also know that's a fan manga.. But speaking about the violence, I don't think Toriyama would drawn like that.

It's coherent with how he was treated after Namek, anime fillers and movies.

Jeeeeeeez, that's some gory artwork right there  !

And uh, I think Cooler took more damage than that. From the looks of things, he got his tail cut off, he lost a few of his head spikes, had some of his shoulder pads blown off, got a nasty graze on his left shoulder, and got a good chunk taken out of his right leg.

Honestly I prefer this hugely over how he's been handled strength wise in all the offcial new stuff ( RoF onward ).

The violence is coherent with how Toriyama drew Gohan wiping out the Cell Jrs.

I don't think it is. Gohan's violence was all in simple, efficient strikes and the brutality of it was just showing how much more powerful he was.

A similar thing would just be having one Makankosappo pierce Freeza. Having it blow multiple chunks of him and rip him to pieces, and display it more prominently, is quite different.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I don't think there's anything specially gory or violent in this page compared to what we see in the series.

For example, out of the top of my head:

You say like we had plenty of these, but were only a few scenes.

First you said that Toriyama wouldn't draw like that. Now you are saying that he didn't do it often?

In any case DBM also doesn't have gore often.

I said I doubt he would draw something like Freeza being pierced by several Makankosappo like Saiga described. Also DBM tends to be more gory than the original manga.

So you're saying Toriyama would never draw Freeza sliced into chunks and pieces?
