The fact the retellings seem to have done well, in the big 3 English regions (NA, NZ/Aus and UK) the retellings sold really well despite all three already having released the movies and still available for a fraction of the price, FUNi's release for Part 1 was out of stock as soon as release day.

Usually people prefer collecting series in a consistent manner, not in random volumes skipping arcs they don't like, that doesn't say much about reception though

It really reminds me of how they use to color Super Saiyan in the Freeza Saga as well. I never understood how it became more brighter in the Buu saga.

No kidding. I feel like it was slowly going towards green in the color spectrum during the last episodes of the ToP. Maybe to emphasize Vegeta's new form as being a true blue color?
