Dragon Ball references in other media

Post by dbzfan7 » Mon Oct 02, 2017 9:54 pm

Though about bringing this up again whether in television or comic book form. Saw this recently and was surprised. It's from Spider-Man and Deadpool 18. Never saw this one before.

So Spider-Man and Deadpool know what Dragon Ball is....good to know :D
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

DBZ was referenced in a lot of 2000s cartoons and is mentioned in the Bakuman manga at times (this is a fantastic but underrated manga that I suggest people check out).
"All of you. All of you must have KILL all the SEASONS!" -Dough (Tenshinhan), Speedy Dub of Movie 9.

"My opinion of Norihito's Sumitomo's new score is... well, very mixed. The stuff that's good is pretty darn good, but the stuff that's bad makes elevator music sound like Jerry freaking Goldsmith." -Kenisu

Well Deadpool knows practically everything pop-culture. He's also referenced Naruto before.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

From Jashin-chan Dropkick, not only Goblin Mom wears Saiyan like armor, but is also voiced by Masako Nozawa :)

Bulma appeared in one of My Little Pony episodes among other anime characters
(she is fourth one)

From the pages of Super Sons (the sons of Superman and Batman).

Image

The hair poking over Alfred's shoulder is Goku's (and a bonus Naruto cameo on the other side of the door).

Dayum....such sharp attention to details...

Umm...I might say Sket Dance anime series has liberal DragonBall references from Goku's haircut & wanting to fight sugoi/strong guys to Cell's "Kanzentai"

There have been MANY over the years, sometimes just subtle inclusion of Goku's famous 'do.

I'll always remember that episode of Codename Kids Next Door back in what I assume was the early 2000s where each member of the team describes their part of the story the way they imagine it, and Number 4 imagines himself as Goku fighting Freeza. I think he actually referred to himself as Number Four-ku.

In One Piece episode 852, Charlotte Katakuri hits Luffy with a mochi version of Gum-Gum Giant Axe. When the dust settles, Luffy is in a very familiar pose.

It’s a pretty shallow parody, but it’s still a reference.

DuckTales recently did a "It's over 9000" joke, complete with Kaioken form.
