They showed only around of 5 minutes of non-repeated footage from a 100 minutes film, nowhere near the whole movie.
"But I already know the plot from all the footage" Well you don't know how all the 100 minutes are visually presented.
Yes because I clearly meant they showed all 100 minutes of footage.:
It was an exaggeration, if you couldn’t tell.

You are saying wrong stuff though as canonicity and continuity are not even synonyms. And yes, Gotan and Piririn are both official stuff (also,
Gotan appears in the manga). Anyway.

Canon actually means authority. We know Toriyama is the law. When he does something pertaining to his Dragonball story it's the highest rule.

Where did you get that definition?
I called it that Gogeta, Bardock, and something Broly related would be in the movie before it was even announced that it was a Broly movie.

That is the only definition for canon when trying to attain order to writings etc.

There are no ifs and buts, Gogeta is now being written by Akira Toriyama, and therefore, as far as the dictionary’s rules go, Gogeta is canon. What part of it do you not understand?
It’s just a word. Nothing more. What problem do people have with that word anyway?
That is not actually what "canon" means, but anyway. In addition to what
Rakurai said above, I don't understand the part where you said "no matter if Toriyama likes to use it or not, it's canon". That's not how things work at all, and besides that, it seems the word "canon" does not even exist in Japanese vocabulary, sounds more like a nightmare for those who insist in the mistake of calling things "canon/non-canon" out of nowhere.
Excuse me if you don't mind me jumping on this little fun debate regarding canonicity with my shameless plugin...
I think it would be much easier and less of a headache than to have endless conversation of which is canon, which is "non-canon", which is kind of canon and what have you. Place everything under canon and separate them as continuities: the main continuity (the manga) and everyone else as their own, unless declared by the right-owners as extension of the main one. Canon should not be interchangeable with continuity, since the former refers to an collection of works (and in this context, everything created by the rights-holders) and the latter refers to an series of events in chronological order (in this context, where the series fit in the timeline and those that don't formed their own continuities from the main one). Non-canon either no longer applies or simply refers to non-official works.

While I live Gogeta and even more this canon one.
After failing hard 2 times before and waisting an hour.
Wouldn't it be more effective to IT to Shin's planet and borrow some Potaras?

I completely, totally and utterly disagree. The original is objectively better. MUCH better in fact self evidently.. Except ofcourse for the Yellow colored part of the vest. I like Orange better than Yellow.

The face looks off to me. Gogeta has a uniformity to him that I love about his design. The line work is also distracting to me.
Also, the orange and blue clash somewhat compared to the yellow and blue of his new design. Granted, as a Super Saiyan I think orange looks better. But for his Base and Blue design, the yellow looks much better

The orange does clash with the blue hair a bit, but then again, Goku wears orange and he goes SSJB all the time. I still don’t like how Toriyama decided to downplay the widow’s peak, but I’m guessing he didn’t want him to look too much like Vegeta.

What!? So it does not matter what Toriyama thinks, there is a canon because you,
GodVegetto91 from an American forum, want the franchise to have?
No. It’s whats official. If Shonen kicked Toriyama off and had s new author pen dragon ball, he has no say in canon

As someone who likes art styles with more detailed, angular lines, I agree. The redraw looks so much better, really giving off an impression of strength missing on the original poster.

What I don't get is why everyone is so up in arms over that promo shot of Gogeta. It's not objectively bad art, though I agree that I don't think it looks very good. But, why is everyone so concerned? It's not like he's going to look like that 24/7 in the film. From what we've seen so far, he's almost NEVER drawn like that. I mean, look at these screenshots:
And then them compare to this:
They don't really look that close, outside of the coloring of course. It just looks like a slightly awkwardly drawn promo poster for Gogeta.

When the stills of the movie look 5x better than the promotional art of said movie.
