Watched the Bandai stream and outside of Bandai rebalancing the game at the end of January, we will get some kind of announcement at the World Tour Finals. The producer didn’t reveal anything and told us that she wants to say it, but won’t till the finals. She said that they are listening to fans feedback and that a) people are happy with dlc and b) people still want more. So, let´s wait for the end of January and let’s see what the news is.

Edit: XV2 producer told us that there is a hint about January announcement in V-Jump (release in Japan, with Jump Force on the cover).

The subs were weird, as it read that the announcement will please DB as a whole... Super series in the works?
Doesn’t look like anything new about XV series.
Maybe some bonus characters for FighterZ at least then. I’d love to have Kid Goku and Piccolo Daimao

The World Finals are the end of this month. Why anyone thought Bandai would announce anything somewhere else is beyond me.

Speaking for myself, and given what I've seen from others, most people had no idea there was a "World Finals" tournament coming. They also very heavily implied, although they didn't outright say, that the big news/announcement would be for FighterZ and/or Xenoverse 2.

For Season 2, I hope for releasing characters they just do 1 every month instead of 2 every 2 months.

But, might as well also post a wishlist (by which characters I want most to least)

3. Goku (Super Saiyan 4)

5. Broly (Wrathful)
6. Super Baby
7. Vegeta (Super Saiyan 4)
8. Omega Shenron

I want some GT up in this game. Even if there's no villains, just the Super Saiyan 4 Goku/Vegeta would be fine (Also, a Planet Tuffle type stage with it, that would be a sick stage that would stand out.) Besides Super Janemba, I don't really want any other characters from Z. I think what we got gives us the best of each saga for heroes/villains, so all that's left is the last popular movie villain.

I'd like if they updated the character customisation a bit, and instead of giving us another Broly, make it possible to switch suits (and maybe have extra Supers going with the suits). For both Broly and Bardock

Janemba (that has a dramatic finish with SS Gogeta)
Kefla
Jiren (these would be enough for the ToP stuff)

Still besides the confirmation of a Season 2 the talked about update got me happy. Since they really went in on the perspective of fighting games fans might want and how they heard what fans have been saying. I'm not expecting them to remove Super Dash(nor do I want it) but we might see adjustments and several other improvements.

Hoping for more assist options and reduction of blue health. No more defensive options except maybe a really expensive push block, game's supposed to be like it is in my opinion. Messing with it is taking away the essence of it. Seems like a bunch of people want to turn this game into Marvel and I do not agree.

My prediction for the next two DLC characters is Jiren and Muten Roshi.

But I would love for them to tweak the blocking system. I really like how blocking works in Guilty Gear (Red, Yellow, Blue blocking) and maybe, I am noobish a lot that my timing is amis, but the fights are going both ways:
Me beating out the crap of somebody with endless combo chains or someone, beating the crap out of me with endless combo chains. As a fighting game afficionado, I'd love the blocking little revised so it would be more of a martial arts spare like Street Fighter or Guilty Gear
