What Would Happen After A Potential-Unlocking Technique Was Used On A Fusion?
Suppose that Goku & Vegeta fused into Vegetto/Gogeta and then went to Saichoro to have more of their potential unlocked, would the power-up carry down to also unlocking the potential of the individual fusee when they defuse or would it only activate or apply whenever they're fused? Same question with Rou Kaioshin's ability(let's say Goku & Vegeta found a way to extend fusion long enough for the ritual to complete or used EX fusion)? Throw in the Super God Water too.

They would defuse from too much power

We don't see Goten and Trunks/Goku and Vegeta really suffering stamina loss after having defused, suggesting that whatever happened to their fused selves doesn't impact the fusees. Potential unlocks aren't the same thing, though. The fused warrior's inherent potential is being unleashed. It's changing the fundamental essence of the person. I imagine that would carry over to the fusees.

In the anime adaption, when Gotenks is injured after his first successful fusion and proceeding encounter with Majin Buu, both Goten and Trunks are shown with injuries post-fusion.
Similarly in Movie 13, when Gotenks' fusion is undone through a powerful punch, Goten and Trunks are injured.
If injuries are carried over, potential unlocking should be justifiably possible... though the fusion participants would likely benefit far less than the fused character.

Fusions don't defuse from having too much power but by monkeying around with their power & stamina. DBS Gogeta has remained fused the longest out of any instance of Gogeta in the series despite being the strongest that he's ever been at. Gogeta from GT used up a lot of his Ki early on by altering Omega Shenron's minus power and then destroying him with an absurdly powerful big bang kamehameha, one so big that Gogeta could be heard grunting while using it. Had GT Gogeta only used the amount of Ki that was simply necessary then he'd likely have remained fused as long as his DBS counterpart did.

It's hard to say how long Gogeta in Super really lasted though. Most all of that fight was within the span of time for Cheelai and Lemo to grab the Dragon Balls, take them outside, and summon Shenlong to wish him back to Vampo, and he was in Super Saiyan Blue for even less time than that. For all we know, Gogeta was in Super Saiyan Blue for less time than Vegetto was during his fight with fused Zamasu.theherodjl wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 7:52 pmFusions don't defuse from having too much power but by monkeying around with their power & stamina.
