I jumped on this set because if this was what Funimation had on offer for the 30th, I'm not expecting any sort of improvement to come anytime soon. At this point, the only remaster I see myself actually being excited for is one with Toei involved using their materials, and I'm not holding my breath for that. But with this release, I have all of DBZ without a terrible crop, and that's good enough for me for the time being. It's been a long while since I revisited non-Kai Z, and I'm curious to see how it holds up for me.

Get ready for extremely poor pacing, a bad dub if you choose to rewatch THAT, & a bad remaster. Other than those, enjoy the original version of the anime.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Nice, I got on here to gripe about lack of details and within 24 hours, my order ships. Well, guess I’ll know everything I need to know about this set soon enough then.

Ordered mine 4/6, still says processing and there's no shipment info. No email either. They took the money out months ago (and even if they didn't, there's definitely enough to not be declined). Oh well, I guess the big well-oiled machine known as Funimation didn't have Billy the intern send mine out yet.

Same story here, except I put my order in on 4/11.

4/5 for me. No updates. Still processing.

I got my E-mail confirmation with a tracking number, although the carrier I'm using to track it says not found. So I've emailed FUNimation, might not be into the carriers hands yet.

And to all those who did buy this, ignore the haters. Get what you want and that's all there is to it.

I'm worried that this may be the last time the series may get home video releases in the States, given how your average person thinks that streaming is “the future” and don't seem to carry about owning things like they used too. We could be stuck not having a proper version of DBZ forever.

Oh thank you very much, it's what I thought. They don't have the information in their system yet.

Mark my words, Toei is not remastering the series. It’s over. The time for that has long since passed. It sucks and I hate it, but it’s not happening. Maybe for another big anniversary, but I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon.

The set that I ordered has shipped, by the way. I hope there will be some kind of exchange option in case anything arrives damaged. Scratched Blu-rays are a pain in the ass.

Defintly looking foward to pics and screenshots! I Unfortunately had to cancel mine, so lets see if they release these in a non-limited capacity

Edit: box shots on ebay (and scalp prices) https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3965538436

Those look more like cel scans than screenshots.

Though if they're screenshots...they don't look bad
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I was wondering that myself. Tho the second pic looks like it could be from the set.

So I have a question. I canceled my order but my order is still on FUNi's site. The status says "closed" not "Canceled" and it does say "No Shipments for this Order" when I click "Track My Order". I want to make sure it was canceled because they did refund the money

Does it say "No Shipments for this Order" for those whos havent shipped yet?
