Beautiful, man. Beautiful.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Thank-you!
It's almost heartbreaking to see the show in such high resolution, it just demonstrates how little FUNimation or Toei need to do to make a competent release. The fact that they're going to all this extra work to produce something inferior is rather depressing.

DBZ episode 85. The film reel is not my own, so I can't share video clips here, but I can provide you guys with still images from specific scenes at least.

It's the incompetence from these people which hurts the most, it's so frustrating.Captain Awesome wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 3:48 pmThank-you!kei17 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:25 pmCaptain Awesome wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 3:03 am

I think all the original prints given to TV stations were sold off at some point, so between the various collectors, every episode of DB and Z should have at least one private owner.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

No, they were not meant to be sold off. Legally speaking, those prints were required to be discarded, but some of them "accidentally" escaped from the disposal.

So very few episodes are available and we don't really know which ones are?kei17 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 2:13 pmNo, they were not meant to be sold off. Legally speaking, those prints were required to be discarded, but some of them "accidentally" escaped from the disposal.

Yes. But there are a lot of film prints from other countries, so I suppose dozens of episodes are floating around the world.sangofe wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 2:39 pmSo very few episodes are available and we don't really know which ones are?

I always thought they were sold off. These things can go for a lot of money, so it just made sense to me. Still, nice to know at least some survived.
