Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
I'd always think he was male but apparently in Dragon Ball online lore he ' created' a wife which seems to be more like a female or hermaphrodite. People in dragon ball refer to him as a male though but that could be because they assumed his gender/

Fat Boo wanted a kiss frm women...pretty sure he's a dude...
Plus his voice...Kozo Shioya played him...as male...or rather monster...so far I have yet to come across a female rampaging, mindless beast lol

Hate to break it to you but I, a woman, rather enjoyed making out with my girlfriend. Pretty sure enbies and two-spirits exist, too.

Considering everyone addresses Buu as a male, and Buu uses the male pronouns when speaking in Japanese i think we have our answer.

We are one thread away from how Krillin and co. deserve participation trophies for their role in saving the earth if this keeps up.

Vegeta would have won, if it wasn't for Krillin, Gohan and Yajirobe intervening after Goku was incapacitated, so they weren't just useless participants like they were in the Cell Games(except Gohan).supersaiyanZero wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:34 am We are one thread away from how Krillin and co. deserve participation trophies for their role in saving the earth if this keeps up.

Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
Buu definitely identifies as and presents himself as male, but considering in DBO and Xenoverse lore he's able to just take off a piece of himself and make it female, he could definitely switch to female if he ever felt inclined to do so.
Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
He is a male. With Dragon Ball Online (and other sources, if you want to) further corroborating this with his act of creation of a female being.

Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
I always view Buu as a genderless creature that appears to be male. Buu can itself into a women if Buu wanted too. I consider DBO and Xenoverse to be their own thing and not apart from the main series.

Everything you write in the forum is about sexuality.
Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
Majin Buu is either non-binary or has no gender. We must approach Toriyama with regards to what his pronouns are.

He obviously presents as male. Being a magical blob of pink bubblegum, he probably has no biological sex.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

Yeah, I really doubt Toriyama cares, but it'd be cool if we could discuss the idea with him since it's sort of neutral enough as it is.Polyphase Avatron wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:55 pm He obviously presents as male. Being a magical blob of pink bubblegum, he probably has no biological sex.

Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
Maybe this is just cause I don't like him all that much, but I think Buu isn't a complex enough character for a debate about his gender to mean much, or even necessarily possible for introspection. If you asked him why he knows he's a dude, he'd probably just tell you to buy him some ice cream.
Though, for what it's worth, 3/4 of the Kaioshin inside him were men, including the Dai Kaioshin, which is what seemed to influence his personality and appearance the most. It'd probably be more accurate to say pure/kid Buu is genderless.

Re: Does (fat) Majin Buu have a specific gender?
yeah, and correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't super boo start using masculine pronouns for himself after he absorbs gohan ? if so, i think that adds to the idea that boo's pronouns more so relate to who he's absorbed, and that his original being is genderless.

I am yet to watch OP and pretty sure I wouldn't till next decade at least....cuz most of OP characters & their designs are ugly AF...
