I think it's a bit strange, but that's just my opinion and I shouldn't be judged for it. Needless to say, people these days are married to robots, and I remember hearing this one guy marrying his Nintendo DS a couple of years ago. It's weird but today's society, especially in the states, is moving towards a more liberal one where anything goes. To me it's like, I may think it's weird but as long as no one is being harmed then it's probably fine. As long as you don't hurt a 3D being, human or animal, then you do you.

Definitely, it's a badly drawn animated character, made by some Japanese guy in an office.

I saw some Broli figures while at the mall today. Ugh. My husband is just too sexy. I wish we had figures of the character in more than just action poses, though. I wanna see him being cute and shy!

I mean yeah most everything about anime/weebdom is weird. BUT if you're having fun and not hurting anyone then who that matters cares?
Re: Is being attracted to a Dragon Ball character considered weird?
I think it's pretty typical, really. I've heard plenty of normies even, talk about finding Jessica Rabbit or Jasmine from Aladdin hot. One of my friends who's as normal and typical as they come often talks about how hot he finds Cammy from Street Fighter, so I'm certainly not one to judge and sexuality is an extremely complicated and nuanced spectrum.
In my young teenage years, I was unambiguously attracted to some of the female Dragon Ball characters (Bulma, Chi-Chi, etc.), but as I get older and my sexuality changes, my feelings have become more of an "echo" of a particular form of sexuality. Like, I don't find Bulma herself attractive in a vacuum, but I am reminded of the archetype she represents in a woman which I find attractive. There's also those memories of being a hormonal preteen being attracted to anything and everything that elicits such feelings from these characters. Sex in and of itself is a very visceral and sensual thing, so it's difficult to imagine myself in that sort of situation with an animated girl and I feel moreso this way as I get older. It's complicated.
In short, no. You can pick apart the idea of being attracted to lines on a page, but you can fragment literally anything in life and distill it into something strange that makes no sense. Obviously finding animated characters attractive is normal, otherwise you wouldn't constantly see animated girls blatantly designed for sex appeal. The market is obviously large enough for it to be fairly common.

It's not any stranger then being attracted to any other drawn character. You like what you like.
Re: Is being attracted to a Dragon Ball character considered weird?
I really suggest reading some books on the subject of being attracted to drawings. Saitou Tamaki's Beautiful Fighting Girl is a great intro to the top and covers the history of how Otaku in the 1970s+ were beginning to experience an attraction to anime and manga characters. Patrick W. Galbraith's new book Otaku and the Struggle for Imagination in Japan gets even further in depth about the factors that led to the modern doujinshi market for creating indie comics, commercial animation and comics and the spaces to share the love of fictional characters. I know in the aforementioned Galbraith book--one of many he has written about Otaku culture--is that Otaku was originally a homophobic slur. Nakamori Akio coined the term to refer to the men whom he saw fawning after bishoujo and lolicon comics and drawings in their magazines in the early 1980s, referring to those men as 'faggy' or not 'real men'. It's really interesting and ironic when you consider how that sentiment didn't quite catch on. Truly, your average depiction of an Otaku in media--whether fiction or non-fiction--is actually pretty not-masculine. I know there's also a history of Otaku considering themselves their own orientation but I'm not sure how well that has been studied in academic and psychological circles. Then, I begin to wonder about Otaku's gender. Combing this with the knowledge that Otaku self-insert as the women in pornographic comics, games and animation, I'm wondering if a lot of Otaku are perhaps transgender or non-binary of some sort but simply lack proper education to perform self-reflection? I know knowledge on the subject was definitely something I needed before hatching. It's such an interesting phenomenon, I really wish I could conduct research of my own.
Sexuality and gender are definitely a fluid thing and not something one experiences in totality. Realizing I was into men (mostly twinks, feminine men and sensitive men) and then accepting that I was a woman did wonders for my sexuality. I'm not a man but I feel really bad for a lot of you cis men. Society tells you that you have to be cishet or that you can't really experience your sexuality or gender outside of a very rigid set of guidelines. Something I want to say to you boys is that it's okay to not be heterosexual. Like a boy, even if they're just fiction? By gosh, that's okay. Play with it. Flaunt it. Only into one kind of man? Only ever experience attraction to one or two men and think that doesn't make your bi or pan enough? Well, let the queer chick tell you what's what: you're still allowed to identify as bi or pan.
Sexuality-exploration is definitely the key to attaining a new piece of happiness. There are so man bisexual or pansexual cis men trapped under abusive childhood brainwashing from parents and society and it really upsets me to think about how so many of you boys will always have that piece of yourselves gnawing at the back of your mind. It will really help open your mind to new possibilities about yourself and help change how you approach social issues and how you see the world, too, which I think it wonderful. More often than not AMABs are forced into lives that are antithetical to who they are. I would love to tell you all that you can break away from that if you want.

2. There's nothing gay about sucking dick and it's dangerous to queer folk for you (general) to try and couple anal and fellatio with non-heterosexuality.
3.Transgender women are women, therefore sucking a dick should they have one would be heterosexual as fuck.

I was holding my tongue when you made that weirdly aggressive reply to my big empathy and sympathy post. I aimed it at nobody in particular in hopes that I could do some good for any random user who read it to challenge how they see themselves. I'm sorry you feel very vulnerable about your sexuality that you feel the need to be so aggressive to even being challenged to view the world differently. That being said, you in all your flippancy are taking a super homophobic and transphobic stance by talking about cutting off your fingers over ever giving a partner fellatio and then dismissing further education on the subject as "label it whatever you want."Polyphase Avatron wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 1:14 amLabel it what you will, I would still not do it.JulieYBM wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:58 am1. Wasn't trying to be aggressive in any way. Just saying that while I don't care what other consenting adults do, I have a strongly negative reaction to the idea of doing certain acts personally. Literally, that's how I feel about it.JulieYBM wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 1:32 amI was holding my tongue when you made that weirdly aggressive reply to my big empathy and sympathy post. I guess I just felt the need to say that because your post seemed to be implying that everyone was somewhere near the middle of the spectrum of orientation/sexuality (yeah, I know there is a spectrum and it's complicated). I just wanted to give a counterexample of being solidly on one side.
I actually have OCD that can cause me to imagine certain unpleasant situations even when I don't want to, so that's how I was able to make the comparison.
I'd still rate it above sticking needles in my eyes, though. (Yes, my brain forces me to imagine shit like this on a regular basis).

Everyone’s a little bit gay sometiimes doesn’t mean we go after the same sex for sexy tiiiimes. If we could all just admit that we are all gay a little biiit and everyone stopped being so narrow maybe we could live in harmonyZeon_Grunt wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 4:30 pmI'll be honest, that's how I interpreted that post too. It was this parapraph:
"Sexuality and gender are definitely a fluid thing and not something one experiences in totality. Comes off as though you think everyone is at least on the gay spectrum when in actually most men are just completely straight.
Re: Is being attracted to a Dragon Ball character considered weird?
If it's a spectrum, then everyone's on it, and there's no binary. There's no such thing as "completely" being one thing or the other. What you label the position you occupy on the spectrum is completely subjective, especially when you get into abstract shit like fictional characters.
For example: a dude only finds women attractive IRL, but online he loves those crossdressing anime femboys as well. There's no real-world men he can find attraction to. Is this man straight or bisexual? Well, if he's only ever going to sleep with or have romantic interactions with women, he's obviously toward the heterosexual position on the spectrum. But how can he guarantee that? Obviously if he likes effeminate men when they're drawn, getting a medium between say, a photo-manipulated image of a real crossdressing man and a very realistic drawing of one would create a bit of a rift there, right? Or hey, what if this guy just hasn't found an IRL man he likes because he hasn't been looking? Any exception like this would necessarily put him in a different spot by most people's perception of the sexual spectrum, but he may still live his whole life happily while only dating women. So is he straight? Bicurious? If he never reveals what he's into to anyone, does that make him "completely straight" by any standards other than those ignorant to the truth?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody ever learns what it was jerking off to, does the word "completely" even exist with regards to a spectrum?

Making an example of myself: Self-proclaimed femboys are hot and I wish they weren't so 'underground' in mainstream media. The number of hotties I've seen simply perform what is generally considered feminine beauty care wind up looking so cute. I'm very seldom into bears (I don't like body hair) so learning about men who are 'feminine' was really critical in helping expand my understanding of sexuality and gender.
