One man's weird is another man's norm. It's all a meaningless social construct in the end.

Attraction to fictional characters is pretty cool. It's a fun, safe space to explore one's interests without hurting anyone else. It also helps give one a new perspective on life. I also love reading about the history of the subject. The doujinshi and illustrations that people draw of their loved ones is really fun to study over the course of time. Some artists have basically done nothing but draw Ayanami Rei for twenty years, even! I find that sort of dedication amazing. Yaponishi, for example, has a shrine for Jougasaki Rika merchandise and draws a lot of fun art of her. Then you have artists like 23 who create an original character and draw gorgeous art of them endlessly and regularly. 23's art of Sera and her unnamed wife--sometimes including their daughter--is really something else. 23 has drawn several dozen illustrations of them, both pre-marriage and post-marriage, and the level of detail placed into their bodies is something else.

I suggest reading the works of Patrick W. Galbraith and Saitou Tamaki for more in-depth historical context. It's really worth it.

When it comes to Rei Ayanami, I don't think anyone draws her as hot as Mogudan.

And when you compare his earlier drawings (which were already quite good) of her to his current ones, it's just impressive how much he improved as an artist.

Mogudan draws one of my favorite Ayanami's. She's so big but also really proportionately drawn. It's nice seeing a woman depicted as sexy with that kind of frame.

I... know who you both are talking about, and I prefer his earlier art (well, not super early, as those were a bit too simple and flat looking). I just am not a fan of super exaggerated proportions like he ended up having after a while.

I will take this, any day of the week:
over this:

"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--final_flash

Mogudan has become better about making the breasts fit the frame of the body. Rather, he makes the frame fit the breasts and it really is nice to see taller, stockier girls in art. I mean, considering that Ayanami is a tiny little thing in the original series depicting her as a sort of Tall Girlfriend might as well shoot for the stars.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I love 23. Sera's breasts look like they can jiggle well but I can also imagine how they look if she squishes them between her arms or whathaveyou. I'd die to have her abs.
I find it so ironic that I like tall girls but hate being a tall girl myself, LOL. My body makes me so dysphoric, although that fact that it's still shaped like I've got testosterone-poisoning doesn't help. ?_<

jeez, that second pic is something else. like like what you like, i'm not one to judge, i don't even really experience sexual attraction (though mgs2 raiden and Tom Delonge from 1997-2004 are the exceptions), but like, don't people like the proportions to like, make sense ? like if you wanna give people huge boobs you should at least make them like, thicker, i guess.

awkward ass post on my part my apologies lol.

Yeah, I don't think that cover art is particularly great. It looks like Ayanami had implants put in so the whole image is out of whack. Then again, some people like that look. I'd prefer her stomach poke out more, since breasts that large would make it difficult to do much cardio. This Yaomomo from Himazin88 is a nice take on that. Phew. I also love how Himazin draws pregnant bellies, too. Totes not because I wish I were pregnant, though. >_>

Okay, between this and the "it's not porn if the genitals are technically covered" thread I feel like maybe this community needs a different outlet for its horniness.
