What are the things so unlikely to happen, that they could actually happen?

Personally, I'd like to see Goten getting more attention, even if it is on the level of what 17 got in ToP - something where he can finally feel like an actual character.

To be honest, he never seemed to me more than that other Goku's kid / kid Goku Mk.II who hangs around with Trunks, and serves for Gotenks to happen.

I think Goten is way beyond anything. It's sad but nobody (Shueisha, Toei, Toriyama&Toyotarou) cares for Goten. He'll always be usuless.

What is so unlikely to happen, that could actually happen? Dragon Ball Super (continuation) being good. I still hope it'll be good.

I could see any number of non-canon character that Toriyama designed becoming canon. Like Pikkon, Giru, Android 21, Cooler, or Bojack.

It's not exactly unprecedented after Bardock, Broly, and the Dragon Ball Online Yard Rats reappeared.

Goten: Xeno is a nice little return to having an adult Goten, although the actual space allowed for developing characters outside of plot-worshiping projects is a bit non-existent.

• Goten, Trunks and Marron growing up.
• Exploring other ideas and situations other than retellings and tournaments.
• Characters with other outfits permanently or changing periodically.
• Giving other characters more screentime and character development.
• Stop bringing back some unnecessary characters/villains.
• Don't cram a lot of sagas within a short timeskip.

All this could actually happen, but for some "unknown" reason it's so unlikely. It seems an easy thing to do, but maybe it's hard. This should be just the expected, but it all became merely a wish.

The "raw" masters Funi has lying around for Z, cleaned up but neither DVNR'd nor sharpened, getting the release it deserves. Sure, that would mean Funi would be out of "improvements" for their releases, but there's only so much that can be done with multi-gen 16mm prints anyways, and supposedly they're all scanned and ready for release, which is more than can be said for Toei with the first-gen film masters. Now if Toei decided to spend time and money on a good HD release of the Z series, cleaned up but not scrubbed of detail nor sharpened, then Funi's masters would become irrelevant.

Now if you want to talk about stuff that has little to no chance of actually happening, a complete Harmony Gold Dragon Ball/Zero y El Dragon Magico/Gota Magica Dragon Ball boxset would be lovely. Even more ridiculous(ly awesome) would be a release from Funi that not only uses their "raw" masters, but also includes as many existing English dubs as possible: from the Remastered Johnson/Faulconer and Kikuchi mixes to the original broadcast/singles Johnson/Faulconer versions, the Fillipino English dub, perhaps even including the Saban and Westwood stuff as SD extras. If you were really mad throw in the 12 episodes Speedy did for good measure, along with the entire Latino Spanish dub.

LOL, I'm just making fun of people who think women don't play video games. I've been on the receiving end of sexism when playing with random people online before and it's always really weird to me to see what weird, cartoonish characters 'in reality'.

Also, I'm just plain behind on video games because I wind up replaying old games a lot.

I think a proper home release from Funimation where the colors and aspect ratio are untouched is unlikely as things get. A close second would be the original DB getting a Kai release and re-dub.

Between having good pre-production time, Shintani potentially being the character designer, and Toyotaro bringing in actual new ideas, I think Super's continuation being bad is the most unlikely thing right now.

I should have been more specific. What I meant is the anime being a full adaptation of the manga from Moro onwards, like DB and DBZ used to adapt Toriyama’s manga. Therefore Super would no longer have two continuities telling the same story in differing ways.
