Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
More than this story I also hate that we have to make a canon charcter worse to pump up Bra. Bra was written horrible I guess because they wanted a Gohan that liked to fight so they created a charcter for Vegito saying he's the worst of Goku and Vegeta to justify Bra acting like she does and now Vegito is being made worse to fans can feel sorry for Bra.
I understand why people don't like Bra in DBM even though they she's never bothered me before but Vegito is on of my favorite charcters so I hate seeing what they have him slowly becoming.
Hopefully if Gogeta shows up they don't ruin him which I'm thinking is the Endgame.

Did Salagir forget that Vegito is a fusion between Vegeta and Goku?
Because there’s no Goku left in that:
This is just really bad.

And so in his cynicism and pride, he doesn't go to Bulma and talk to her about a way to dampen Bra's powers. And he doesn't talk to Gohan, Videl, Krillin, and Eighteen about rearing a child, He doesn't even consider beyond the basic scope of ki control, to not train her and get her to live as a human girl. He just decides, he is going to train his daughter to the highest limits, and then end her.Fionordequester wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 6:30 pm This was foreshadowed, believe it or not. Up to you if you want to accept it, but the hints were there, in this, and other areas.
EDIT: I rewrote this slightly, as Salagir doesn't seem to completely understand English writing conventions. The translator did his job, but there's localization that needs to be done, too. It seemed like that step was missing, so I took it upon myself. Read this on the site, if you want the unedited version.
U16 Novel, Chapter 17 wrote:Vegetto found the location of the new planet Namek. He went to Mori, the leader of what were probably the wisest people in the universe. The old Namekian drank only water, but still had tea ready for Vegetto. The two went inside before speaking, so as to avoid gossip from eavesdroppers. They spoke about the farmers of Last Hope for a time, then got to the heart of the matter.
“What would be the trouble of having one more child?” Mori asked.
“It's dangerous.” said Vegetto.
"But you said your other sons can already destroy planets by the thousands. How would this child be different?
“I can easily stop my other children. But a son I brought into the world myself... Saiyan children usually overpower their parents; Especially in my family.”
“So, what you actually fear is this: That your child could lose control, destroy the universe, and you couldn't do anything about it.”
“Yes.”
“But why would your son do such a thing? Do you fear his adolescence so much?"
“Well... First of all, Saiyans are violent; it's in their nature. They were like that even before Freeza... If you were to compare a normal Saiyan with any other race in the universe, you'd find him very cruel indeed. A rabid dog, were no one to hold him back.”
“But not your children.”
“Not Goku & Vegeta's children."
“But isn't one's upbringing more important than genetics? Gokû and Piccolo Daimao are convincing examples.”
“Maybe... But maybe we were lucky.”
“Hm...”
The Namekian was thinking... Trying to look at the problem from the right perspective. Education wasn't the problem, no, it was something else. Why did Vegetto foresee a dark future? Gokû was happy as could be, and even Vegeta wasn't this cynical... Vegetto's attitude was strange. The Kaioshins hadn't hammered responsibility that hard into his head. It seemed odd for such a powerful warrior to be this impressionable.
“Why would your child destroy the universe? Even saiyans don't destroy planets for the fun of it. Besides, ruling the universe is quite meaningless...”
“There were people who wanted to do it...”
“People... like you?”
Mori had found it.
“I thought about it.”
“Why?”
“I'm bored. I'll never find someone to challenge me. At times, I just want to leave everything. To mess around... But I won't."
“That thought only crossed your mind. You don't have to worry about your future.”
“Of course. I like my family, I'm sane, I'm calm... I would never be a threat.”
“But if that idea were to cross your son's mind..."
“Exactly. If I'm thinking it, it's possible he will too.”
“If you can control yourself, why couldn't he?”
“I had impulses. And some of them almost destroyed the universe. Vegeta is to blame for Perfect Cell creation, as well as Buu's resurrection... And when we go super saiyan, we are closer to our primal state... Strange ideas cross our mind... Especially when we do it for the first time. I'm very powerful, but I'm old too. I was born with 60 years of experience and good morals. When my son becomes super saiyan, he'd be less prepared. The peaceful Gokû became violent when he turned super saiyan, and so did Vegeta. He would've destroyed Freeza's entire empire; His rival and the cyborgs just happened to be higher priorities. With MY strength, however, they could have destroyed the planet just by pure accident."
“Once again, you were pure Saiyans. Your three sons hadn't shown such symptoms when they became super saiyans.”
“True, but Super Saiyan 2 could do it. Gohan completely changed during his first time.”
The chief of the Namekians fell silent again to think and to get in thoughts in order.
“You're just giving excuses.”
“I'm sorry?”
“Even if your offspring were to lose his mind, he'd remain your son. And he'd remain less powerful than you for a long while... You'd make him see reason. Your son isn't the problem; You are.”
“But I just told you that...”
“... that you can control yourself. But you fear that someday, you'll fail. There's a dark side in you, and you're afraid. You think your son will have it too.”
“I'm the problem?”
“Much more than your son would be. Maybe your son will have to bring you to heel.”
“...”

He's an edgy teenager... Literally. He was "given birth" at the end of the Buu arc. He has the knowledge of two seasoned warriors, but he's barely more mature than Bra is... That, and he had some of Vegeta's worst qualities. That's pretty much how he's been throughout the entirety of DBM.FoolsGil wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 9:13 pm And so in his cynicism and pride, he doesn't go to Bulma and talk to her about a way to dampen Bra's powers. And honestly? That's pretty much how the canon fusions were, too. Gotenks was absolutely insufferable, and Vegetto still clowned around with Buuhan more than he probably needed to, even if he WAS trying to get absorbed.

Vegetto is definitely corrupt, would be great if the reason is that the Pothala are at fault when mortals use them.
I think at some point U18 Goku and Vegeta are going to fuse into Gogeta to stop Vegetto, because in Bardock's vision Bra is right, there is literally no way Goku or Vegeta could beat Vegetto... Unless they fuse.

I think that's it to, Vegeta's new form will either stabilize ssj3 or Goku has it as well and then Gogeta will defeat the mighty Vegito giving him his rival and allowing him to find peace as not the supreme being anymore.Venus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:29 pm Vegetto is definitely corrupt, would be great if the reason is that the Pothala are at fault when mortals use them.

Possible. I also think Gogeta will represent what Vegetto should have been, a completely emotionally stable living being.miguelnuva1 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:38 pmI think that's it to, Vegeta's new form will either stabilize ssj3 or Goku has it as well and then Gogeta will defeat the mighty Vegito giving him his rival and allowing him to find peace as not the supreme being anymore.Venus wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:29 pm Vegetto is definitely corrupt, would be great if the reason is that the Pothala are at fault when mortals use them.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
In any case, to clarify what I mean by Vegetto, it's not that he's evil. Bra still admired him, after all...
It's just, he clearly wasn't ready to be a parent. He has valid concerns about Bra, but he expresses those concerns in just about the worst way he possibly could have. He tells her something that was intended to help her get control of herself... But it does the exact opposite (as we can see here).
This is before getting into Goku and Vegeta's conflicting ideologies. Goku WANTS someone that can challenge him, but Vegeta wants to be No. #1. Hence, Vegetto training her while fearing her power at the same time.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Goku and Vegeta's ideologies don't have to be in conflict. You can want a rival and still be number just fine.
Vegito has created his own problem in his head, helped the problem grow and now before it is even truly formed he wants to blame his fear on someone else.
He is the one that had sex with Bulma
He is the one afraid of Bra
He is the ine that trained Bra
He didn't raise Bra as best as he could to prevent said fear he has.
Now unless something changes his solution is to just kill her and who cares how his family feels.
Unless Bardock's vision hasn't changed I could see Bra redeemed her family forgiving her and then Vegito still takes her out.
Palpatine was right, all those in power are afaird to lose it.

Yes, it could be that, too. It could be just like Zeus & Kratos from God of War. Kratos is the constant aggressor, while Zeus is a slave to his fear.
Regardless, it does bring interesting new context to one of Bardock's visions:
Could be they all agree to keep this a secret from Vegetto, though we don't know why Vegeta would be in danger.

Gotenks is also the fusion of two kids who aren't even ten. So a weird comparison.Fionordequester wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 10:46 pmHe's an edgy teenager... Literally. And Vegetto didn't clown Buu more than he should in the manga since the fight with Buu barely lasted two chapters. You're thinking of the anime which dragged the fight. Heck, Vegetto went straight into Super Saiyan in the manga instead of messing around in base form.

Well either way, this image file makes one thing clear: What Salagir expects us to believe, and what we've actually seen, is two different things. All to justify Majin Bra.

It's not great writing. Most of the important bits of foreshadowing are locked inside the novels... Which have been clearly shown to be different from the main comic. Moreover, everything take so stinking long in this comic that pulling this NOW is sort of "too little, too late".
Still, I'm not going to say the idea wasn't there from there start; There's juuust enough bits of foreshadowing to where Salagir MIGHT have had it in mind. So for now, I'm going to try to assume the best, to make reading this more fun, if nothing else.

Imagine turning one of the most beloved fan favourite characters in the entire franchise into a colossal douche just to give your poorly-written OC a sympathetic backstory.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The only way I see that line from Vegito being justified is if we find out later that there was a larger context. That is, if he saw his daughter drunk with power, destroying innocent people. Then, seeing the darkness in her, he takes her down, but spares her life. And he says this because he fears that one day, he won't be able to keep her in line any more.
But even that's a bit of a stretch. It reminds me of that scene from The Last Jedi, when Luke turns on his lightsaber to kill Ben.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Why go to Namek for advice from someone younger than original Piccolo, instead of going to the Kaioshin planet where 2 members of the highest authority and eons older than the oldest living namekian live? Specially if you were created out of a kaioshin device.
All that ss making them uncontrollable seems out of place, that is not how things work unless you are Broly. Sounds like a made up concern to me.
Also, if he is so convinced she is dangerous, why wait so long to kill her and even train her, giving her the tools to do what he fears? So she can wreck havoc in Salagir's comic?
Where is Vegito anyway?????

If Vegito is that afraid of Bra why doesn't he make Goten and Trunks train or do the ritual? If Bra is barely ahead of Gohan there's no way she'd catch Ultimate Gotenks or Hell Ultimate Vegito.

Vegetto wanted someone he didn't interact with regularly. "I'm tempted to kill people sometimes" wasn't something he wanted going around.Koitsukai wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 2:32 pm Why go to Namek for advice from someone younger than original Piccolo, instead of going to the Kaioshin planet where 2 members of the highest authority and eons older than the oldest living namekian live? U16 Novel, Chapter 17 wrote:After that constructive conversation [with Android #18], Vegetto wanted to consult a wise master, an old man who would have gathered wisdom through the ages and whose practiced eye would know about any kinds of situation.
He thought of Mutenroshi for a second, but then considered that asking him about a situation involving a woman wasn't the best idea.
Master Korin was a cat. Yes, a cat. And no, Vegetto wasn't going to ask a cat for advice. Moreover, Master Korin was a martial arts expert before anything else.
Kami-sama was no more. He could have asked him some pieces of advice by asking Piccolo, but he found it humiliating. And the young Dende, even though he was the new Kami-sama, was definitely too young.
King Kai did had lot of knowledge; but enduring his bad puns was too high a price.
There was the Grand Kai that he could go to, even if he hadn't kept much contact with him. It was an incredible person. On the other hand, as he kept fooling around most of the time, he hadn't much credibility.
Above, there were the two Kaioshins... Ok, they were the oldest people there ever was, even older than some worlds. But he already had them as 'tutors' of some sorts and he wanted someone he could speak with as freely as possible. Maybe with someone who wasn't one of his acquaintances.
An old Indian on his mountain would do perfectly. But not some random Indian. He needed the very best.
So there was only one left...
