Could Goku become an expert in algebra if it would make him stronger?

Let’s say that Whis tells Goku the only way for him to become stronger is by mastering his mathematic skills. Reaching an expert level in algebra will unlock a new form of ki that will make Goku as strong as an Angel.

If Goku committed himself to this and trained with Bulma and Dr. Briefs, could he ever overcome his weakness towards math? Or is this a limit Goku can’t break?

Goku showed some attempt at learning when Roshi taught him & Krillin with an actual book and even a blackboard back in early DB. If he was properly motivated, he could learn and wisen up about math enough to pass.
