Does Walter White really like it? We all know is half true and half false.I did it for me.
I liked it.
I was good at it.
And I was really, I was alive!
- Half of it is false because Mr. White doesn't genuinely enjoy cooking,
- but half of it is true because he's passionate about chemistry.
- Half false because Mr. White isn't a born criminal,
- but half true because sometimes he's ruthless.
- Half false, Walter himself doesn't need much money,
- but half true, he craves status and respect.
- Half false, Walter does it all for his family,
- but half true, he's also doing it for himself.
Does Dragon Ball have a similarly insightful quote that explores human nature?
I'll put forward this from the Cell arc, when Android 16 speaks to Mr. Satan:
When Mr. Satan first appears, he's a shameless showman who everyone looks down upon, Vegeta with his colored glasses, and even Krillin, and Goku can't even figure out what Mr. Satan is trying to accomplish. We all know he doesn't come to help.Don’t you want to help?
When you watch this scene, don't you also hate Mr. Satan for being arrogant, ignorant, selfish, cowardly, and vanity?
Initially Android 16's reason is "for Earth", but Mr. Satan immediately rejects him, citing safety concerns. He's really more concerned with himself.
But when 16 makes the second request, it touches Mr. Satan's soul.
It's the heart of a champion.
Even the most selfish person has an unselfish side.
Maslow tells me that in addition to physiological needs, safety needs, and esteem, there is also a need for self-actualization. Everyone has it, whether it's a depressed Mr. White or a triumphant Mr. Satan.
Actually, something even more comparable to "I liked it" is when Satan calls out "That's right!!!" to Earthlings during the decisive battle with Kid Buu.
This is a lie, meant to make his fans think that he's fighting Buu.
We all know that Mr. Satan isn't really a savior.
But this is also true, as Goku said. Mr. Satan selflessly takes on his responsibility, realizes his own value, and inspires Earthlings to save themselves.
He becomes a true fighter and savior, when saying "That's right!!!".
Anyone can be like Walter or Mr. Satan, WHITE or BLACK, and I think, they two are like mirrors or pictures of color-blindness test, everyone can see themselves in them. Anyone can be a savior or Satan.
