Did Daima kill Heroes?
Some fans think so because both Demon Realm interpretations are so different from each other, but I don’t think they really care much about that considering the series already mashed contradictory continuites together and completely ignored pre-established time travel lore and rules.
I think personally the escalation just reached its peak. What more is there after "villain aims to destroy/reshape infinite realities across infinite timelines"?

Heroes was already dead
Re: Did Daima kill Heroes?
I assume that Heroes died because of a lack of staff? That or they wanted to do a clean slate with the animation side of things. I don't know how much of it has to do with having, like, less variety of branches of the franchise, but who the heck knows?

Heroes was far more than that initial demon realm arc, so no, it didn't. There's also the fact that Heroes was discontinued well before Daima aired. It remains to be seen if the game that took its place that be just as popular.
How the hell did we go from searching for the dragon balls with Bulma to this ? DB really needs to dial things back down.Yuji wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 11:09 amWhat more is there after "villain aims to destroy/reshape infinite realities across infinite timelines"?
Re: Did Daima kill Heroes?
Is it really that impossible to reconcile them? doesn't one take place like 20 years after the other? things can change a lot in that time. Aside of Dabura's family tree being different.
Re: Did Daima kill Heroes?
This really reminds me a lot of why I wish the animated adaption had had more room to breathe and lean into not needing to fit into the regular continuity of Dragon Ball Super. The bigger ideas about reality and multiple versions of one's self could have been used for some really fun stories.

Re: Did Daima kill Heroes?
The switch to CG for the final arc hints that the budget was going down and was meant to be the last season from the getgo, in hindsight it's likely cause the game was getting replaced by Super Divers. As for why there's not a Super Divers anime, I don't know. Maybe some of the Super DB Heroes animators were temporarily moved over to Daima and/or they're not exactly comfortable doing an anime for it with Toriyama recently dead.

The tournament from the previous arc should've been the final arc.funrush wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 2:29 pmThe switch to CG for the final arc hints that the budget was going down and was meant to be the last season from the getgo.

Outside the weird rights drama divers doesn't really have a story. It's just one blank salte oc doing db history normally less excitingly than xenoverse does.funrush wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 2:29 pm The switch to CG for the final arc hints that the budget was going down and was meant to be the last season from the getgo, in hindsight it's likely cause the game was getting replaced by Super Divers.
