This fan manga is the best at making absolutely useless trash pages and wasting time, it's actually impressive, it's like they want the viewer to feel angry and cheated out.
Yeah. When people complain about the specials breaking the pace of the comic, they're being silly because the comic's production requires those sorts of pace breakers so that the actual comic can be produced. That excuse does not apply to spending 9 pages of the actual comic on a pointless awards ceremony. Genuinely insane stuff.
I remember posting in this thread 3 years ago about how entertaining of a dumpster fire it is "because apparently there just is no bottom", and god damn if this awards ceremony doesn't act as a shining example of that.

More than that, the release schedule requires *every* page to have a cliffhanger or punchline. Trying to read this more than one page at a time is crazy, the pacing is *terrible.*

You put in succinct words why the pace is terrible, for me it was always bad but outside of the generalist story moving at tectonic plates velocity, this is the big other reason, it's simply full off cliffhangers that are obviously not fulfilled.
I've heard other fan comics also criticized for pacing and cliffhanger pages from people who read by page. It's never brought up now since those comics are over and anyone reading them would take a few hours instead of a few years. Mondocool's channel is an example since he has compilation videos covering the entire story and neither of those issues are mentioned in the comments for any comic. It doesn't really help the people willing to read by page but I guess it might help knowing it's closer to ending.

We just got useless pages of what feels like auto-fellatio followed by yet another cliffhanger page after the main villain screams fuck like he12 year that just did a poo-poo.
I already re-read this once a time and it's even more painful in a re-read due to the sheer amount of pages that are empty of content, which feels like filler, even when it's not supposed to be.
The bra evil arc itself is painful because there's like 2 reset moments, the writer desperately needed an editor to remove fluff and tell him that his story straight up needed to be cut in half.
The other premise, seeing fights between DB from multiple timelines, which is why I started reading, simply put to the wayside many of the characters anyways, especially the best DB villain which is Freeza, it's ok but a little aggravating because 20 years later we still don't know what the main villain wants and what are his actual powers lol

That's fair but the worst filler I've seen in any fan comic only comes out to be a few extra minutes for fans who bingeread. It's why there aren't any comments about pain or suffering for any of those comics now since anyone finding them would be investing far less time in reading the entire story. That could be seen in his DBM videos and every other comic he covered. These pages were only meant as a short gag and the last break between rounds. I can understand someone hating them but gag pages lasting a few minutes for someone reading it later isn't going to be the same as for the fans sitting through them for a few weeks when they first came out.

Hey Skar, I hope this is a one-off, because to me it looks like Asura (or salagir being it’s his twitch) are creeping into a uncanny childfication art style. Teasing a nude kid phipsil? Not something I ever expected multiverse of doing.
I don’t know what I should be more concerned about that, Asura and Salagir being tone deaf with their twitch or Buu (a mod) being fine with it.
Skar, with all respect I think you Dbm guys are going down a slippery slope with turning characters like phipsil into nude chibi. Asura is a good artist but this is just..unsettling.

I'm one of the translators so we don't know what Asura is going to draw on Twitch that day. I don't think Salagir knew either since Twitch is mostly used by Asura. You could try contacting them on discord. I agree it was a bad idea and I think the video was taken down so he will likely avoid doing it again.

Well would you look at that?
Dragon Ball Multiverse embarrasses itself once again.
Not quite in the way I was expecting, but I can't say I didn't see something like this happening what with the hyperfixation on Bra.
This is much more than a fucking "bad idea" too.
Doubt you should try downplaying it that way.

I understand you only read DBM to see something bad happen until it ends but I don't understand how I was downplaying it. The video was deleted before almost everyone else working on DBM found out since they don't use twitch. It looks like all the videos of the last few years on twitch were deleted too. I don't know how account strikes work on there but it might be a warning and they ban the account if it happens again.

I know you say he avoud doing it again because twitch banned it but Asura is a grown man, most of the ‘team’ are entering their 40’s and none thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to do that?
Being real here, you guys seem to be unwilling or uncaring to call out bad habits. First the nude page in the special involving fan fan and this on twitch. There’s a belief not just from myself that you guys are getting more lax with content produced, not just in story but visual depiction also.
And this dosent exclude you guys been silent over budokai multiverse being called out as a scam.
As for the source of those posts I can tell you it’s Danny vortex who Clint wrote to in those emails. Should it really be down to individuals in finding out budokai is not refunding people when asked for or are pushing back on their timetable to 2029 (despite 2021) and still demand money but salagir stay quiet on mismanagement? Despite budokai being called a ‘seperate team’ and ‘official Dbm animation’
Like I said before you guys have a issue if not addressing bad habits. The asura drawing bordering childfication soft porn on twitch though is inexcusable.

I understand what you mean here but it might help to try contacting Salagir to get a more satisfying answer. DBM is a major fan project with over 100 people contributing for fun among all the artists and translators. The few other people I've spoken with don't support any of the issues you mentioned and only find out after they're over. We aren't well known enough for anyone to notice our opinions on discord or other social media so it makes it seem like everyone is ignoring these issues.
Many of us thought the animated project was a scam because they never give any information on their progress when asked. It seems like they saw DBM was a popular fan comic and decided to scam people as long as they could. There's no copyright for a free fan comic so all DBM could do is make it clear it wasn't associated with any side projects that try to profit from it. The goal was always for it remain a free fan comic and that applies to all the fan comics that are hosted on the site but the artists could still have their own individual patreon accounts.

That’s thing you say it’s a scam and sounds like you seen more evidence then I have to say that is the case but despite knowing the animation project is still advertised on your site.
I think I should message salagir to comment here because not how he didn’t know asura would hard dbm’s twitch with his misguided art is one thing but saying nothing and doing nothing to distance from a group that has marketed on his name and not delivered, move dates forward, refused refunds. Literally everything that someone would disassociate themselves from.

No problem. Sorry I couldn't be much help and only could offer what I knew. DBM has a big group of people working on it but we don't have meetings or anything like that. We each contribute what we volunteered for and go back to their lives. Most of the interaction I've had with other members are the few on discord. Salagir isn't active on there and logs in every few weeks or so to answer questions.
I think that link was from when Budokai first started so might've been overlooked but I don't believe there are any other links to it on the site. I don't really more about it than you. Some people just assumed it was a scam because they give a timeline or any details of their progress. Personally I don't believe any fan project should ask for donations because it goes against the concept of fanwork and how they're meant to be a passion project for an official series you enjoy. If DBM and other well known ones can remain free then there isn't any reason for any fan comic to require donations in my opinion.
Well I did send a direct message to salagir on here but got no reply but he did have time to reply on the French and English section on latest page (2472) so maybe he’s thinking of a reply or is ignoring the issue.
If it’s true the image is deemed as exposing of minor according to ningen moderating team then it’s something salagir should take seriously. If he’s fine for whatever reason, in overlooking this then can he be trusted with future content of Dbm?
You know, The manga dragon ball had children nudity too. Even Bulma who was only 16. Did toryama ever appologized? Was it censored later?
And in this case, Salagir had nothing to do with Asura's creation. If someone should apologise, it should be Asura. And if you go on twitch, you will see that Asura erased the nude part.
Also, this image from Asura is only an original creation of his. It has nothing to do with the main dragon ball multiverse. The main dbm story never had nudity.
Just in case. I am not defending child nudity or Asura. I just say that Asura is the guilty one, not Salagir and that it has nothing to do with dbm story.

It depends when was the last time he logged in here. Some people only login every few months or years so it would quicker to ask on discord or email.

If it's something that gets banned on almost every site, I don't think you would have to worry especially since nothing like that showed up in the actual comic. It didn't appear in the first 2400 pages so it's unlikely to appear in the last few hundred pages of the story. Asura was been drawing fan content for over a decade and first time he's done something like this it was quickly banned so he's unlikely to do it again. Twitch is the company hosting the content so they have more power any of us. There's not much more we can do if they resolved it based on their terms before Salagir and everyone else working on DBM knew about it.

Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I think at this point Salagir just wants to milk this thing for as long as possible, because the way he just completely wastes pages his absolute malpractice. Like Zephyr said, I don't care about the breaks, but when the main comic is running for God's sake move it along! I was a junior in college eating slices of bread for dinner because I was too stubborn to ask my parents for money when Evil Vegetto was first teased. I'm now 32 years old and live on my own with a well-paying job, one of my parents died, Akira Toriyama died, and that shit is JUST NOW maybe getting close to happening. Like what the fuck?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words? Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up! Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes! Cold World (Fanfic) "It ain't never too late to stop bein' a bitch." - Chad Lamont Butler
The goal of dbm is to have fun, not to end fast.
I enjoy dbm not only for the fights but for the humor and the interaction between the characters.
At least, unlike a lot of fan mangas, dbm was not canceled and is still going.
And if you read the original dragon ball, you will see a lot of useless parts. But it didn’t stop us from enjoying it.
