Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
So, many like to believe in "inherited strength" as an explanation for the the "tailless" generation (Trunks and Goten) being able to achieve Super Saiyan so easily.
Well, if we apply that same logic to Pan and she is effected by her father's insanely high 'Ultimate' power, how great do you think she would be by the time she reaches...say 16 years of age, the same age as Gohan met Old Kaioshin.
I personally don't believe - nor is there any evidence to suggest - that her being 1/4th Saiyan will weaken her in any way. The end of Z showed her being very powerful for a THREE YEAR OLD. Seriously, she would have beat her dad at the same age six ways to Sunday. She could have easily done the same with the Ginyu Force too, Captain Ginyu included (or at least everyone seems to put her over them). So I hardly think that shows signs of weakness.
So my question is how far do you think she can go?

Re: Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
Pan could go as far as any of the other Saiyan hybrids imo. It's possible she could've been born with way more power than Trunks and Goten, and she'll probably achieve Ssj even easier than they did. This could lead to her becoming a SSj2 and maybe even Ssj3 down the line, something Goten and Trunks will never achieve individually.
She could be much like DBM's U16 Bra, who's the daughter of Vegetto and has ridiculous power in just her Ssj2 form. Also, Pan seams like the type to actually want to train and test her limits, unlike the other half saiyan kids. I see her getting very strong very fast.

Well, weaken her in comparison to what? We know that Saiyans, on average, are more powerful than regular humans, but that people with an equal mix of Saiyan and human blood are born with more power than either. It's logical to assume that Pan, who has less Saiyan blood and more human blood, would be somewhere between a 50-50 hybrid like Gohan and a regular human like Kuririn. To better show what I mean, I doodled a diagram.Blackstripe wrote:I personally don't believe - nor is there any evidence to suggest - that her being 1/3rd Saiyan will weaken her in any way.
This is just an example, of course--I have no idea how these four types would really stack up against each other--but I do think it would work something like this.
Personally, I think Pan has a lot of potential, and was probably born with at least more power than a normal human would be. I'm not sure I buy the "inherited strength" thing myself, but she clearly enjoyed training and was instructed by one of the best masters in the universe at an early age; combined with the Saiyan knack for fighting, I'm sure she could become amazing if she stuck with it.
I don't know if it would actually be possible, but I've always liked the idea of her somehow inheriting the Elder Kaioshin's power up, so that instead of some day learning to become a Super Saiyan, she'd instead just tap into enormous power in her regular state.
PS: Small detail, but Pan is 1/4th Saiyan, rather than 1/3rd.

This would be very cool. I never thought of that before, but it is possible.Bussani wrote:I don't know if it would actually be possible, but I've always liked the idea of her somehow inheriting the Elder Kaioshin's power up, so that instead of some day learning to become a Super Saiyan, she'd instead just tap into enormous power in her regular state.
Re: Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
I kind of have the idea that Saiyan/Human hybrids aren't actually stronger, they just get a big headstart on "natural" power, only to hit the wall earlier.
Like Trunks, who becomes a Super Saiyan ~thirty years before the age his father did, but is never at any point stronger than him.
Gohan isn't a fair comparison, any more than Goku is to a regular Saiyan.
So Pan would get less of a headstart than Goten or Trunks, but in the long run could overtake them while still never catching up to Goku and Vegeta.

Re: Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
I think fans take more stock in Saiyan blood than there ought to be. Certainly it has it's perks and of course the whole ssj bit, but I doubt it's the deciding factor on how strong one can become. Goku Jr. was what, 1/16? and he could transform.
That being said, homegirl does have a pedigree. Pan has above average power in both bloodlines. Heck, her human side in itself should be enough to mess anyone up. Plus, she's a firecracker.
She has literally everything in her favor. Being diluted doesn't weaken her.
She's only limited by her own potential.

A one hour workout is only 4% of your day. No excuses.
Re: Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
I always imagined she would be almost as strong as Goten and Trunks in base when they were kids.

Stronger than Freeza, since him, Ginyu, and Raditz seem to be the go-to guys when someone wants to show a character is weak.

Re: Ignoring GT, how strong could Pan be?
I'd imagine Pan would have amazing potential. My theory on the hybrids is that there strength at birth is probably effected by the strength of the father (Super Sperm if you will ). Gohan had potential but not as much as Goten and Trunks, so for Pan, who's Father has truly amazing strength would have great potential for gaining strength.
I think thats proably the theory behing Bra's strenght in the Multiverse comic as she would be the daughter of Vegetto right? How old was Bra after the 10 year timeskip at the end of Z?

Last thing I remember Bra is a year older than Pan, so she would be 5.

Pan was born in Age 779, so she is 5 at the end of the manga (Age 784). Bra has been given conflicting birth years in the guidebooks, so she is either 4 (Age 780) or 6 (Age 778).soulnova wrote:Last thing I remember Bra is a year older than Pan, so she would be 5.

Maybe 4 1/2 yrs old? She might have born at the end of the year.

Hmm...you're right. I keep forgetting they state her age in the series and instead fall back on Herms' Age Guide to double check these things. lol It still doesn't change the potential point about Bra though, as we don't know the month she was born either.soulnova wrote:Maybe 4 1/2 yrs old?
