Favourite Dragonball Songs

Post by dbzfan7 » Mon Aug 13, 2012 9:22 pm

Anything is accepted. Well maybe not the souja boy crap. Anything from db/z/gt/kai. Japanese or English counts or other languages. 3 entry's max at a time. Try to pick different songs or ost that no one has selected yet so there are no repeats. Also list the names above the links.

My three no order

1.Mezase Tenkaichi

2.Super Dragon Soul

3.Ore Wa Tokoton Tomaranai

I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Same here. Really captures the ruthless, merciless nature of the organization.

I wish that FUNi bothered to keep the songs at least without the words. Nobody said they either had to dub it or remove it.

That would be Sabitsuita Machinegun de Ima o Uchinukō. Also, Yamcha's theme is called Wolf Hurricane. Also also, it's Makafushigi Adventure!, not "...Adobencha!"...unless you're going to write Romantic Ageru Yo as "Romantikku...", which you didn't. I just wanted to point that out. :p

Eh, I'm also guilty of casually writing out both "Adventure" and "Romantic" as their English incarnations when writing out the Japanese song titles. My lazy justification is that they're clearly intended to be the English words, so... stuff.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I really love Wolf Hurricane. The fact that Furuya Tooru got to sing his own theme is just so awesome. I love the Muten Roushi theme for the same reason.

That's what I do too (though you seem to do it somewhat out of laziness...), but what I was meaning in my post was that he was being inconsistent about it. It's good to have rules (even be they your own personal rules).

The Biggest Fight is my all time favorite Dragon Ball song, too bad it was only featured in the shitload of fuck known as Final Bout for the original Playstation.

Vegeta's Butoden Theme. This is great too. Epic as all hell.

Solid State Scouter. Love the techno-y vibe from this, got a cool pop feel to it.

This is sorta' a hard one...

1. Kikuchi - Gathering Ki for the Genki Dama
2. BT2 Team - Gatebreaker
3. Faulconer Prod. - SSJ Vegeta

According to a YouTube user those who worked on BT2's soundtrack were these guys:
-Hiromi Mizutani & Kenji Fujisawa [Half-Minute Hero] (F Section)

-Hideyuki Fukasawa [SFIV, MvC3] (W Section), and

-Tadayoshi Makino (w/Taki Arima) [Monster Hunter, Dragon's Dogma] (B Section)
No wonder BT2's OST is so damn awesome.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Personally I say Crisis is the best song from BT2

What? No Battle Point Unlimited?

I'm going to be a little different since y'all have listed all of the most iconic songs in DB franchise. So I'm gonna go with Yeah! Break! Care! Break! and DB Final Bout's opening.

There are many songs I like listening to and find clever, but it would be too long listing them all.
At least, here are some of the songs I have a particular affection for:

Cha-La Head-Cha-La
It really has that carefree spirit, "blue sky" mood.

Dragon Soul
Sounds like a modern version of Cha-La Head-Cha-La, having the exact same "blue sky" vibe.

Hero (You're the Hero)

The pre-chorus parts starts to gather heroism crescendo, and the chorus unleashes the whole charge of heroism on you. Could make you rise to fight some more even in the most desperate situation.

If I Don't Do It, Who Will
The best of Dragon Ball's pop feel. Gives strength, hope, heroism to the listener. Amazing "could make you cry with hope" instrumental bridge in the middle of the song.

Only a Chilling Elegy (Freezer's Theme)

You have to get used to the voice, but the mixing of rock and orchestra violins with church-like background vocals gives a great intensity and epicness to the song. This song could really make you feel doomed in front of an opponent that freezes you with terror.

Orange Hero
Too bad we don't have the full version. Brings a renewed youthfulness, a modernity to Dragon Ball songs, Naruto-style, while keeping the carefree, "everything will be alright", "blue sky" feel of the Dragon Ball universe.

The Brave Man's Ocarina (Tapion's Theme)
A beautiful, peaceful rendition of Tapion's ocarina tune.
