Does Piccolo Have god Ki
He fused with Kami and was able to sense the Supreme Kai's power. He also might have been able to sense Beerus.
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
Well, it would make in-universe sense, but honestly I think Toriyama forgot or it didn't occur to him when he was writing the script - as if Piccolo's reaction around the Supreme Kai was anything to go by, he wouldn't have gone anywhere near Beerus, let alone attack him.

Kami is no longer God , Dende is and as such all godly feats of kami are gone.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
I don't think Piccolo has Godly Ki nor Dende. I prefer to think Kais and Supreme Kai have Godly Creation Ki as they are described as Gods of Creation and protector of life in opposite of God of Destruction. They can sense each other, but their essence are contrary. Piccolo talking about Godly Ki is should mean that he has heard only about the God Destruction and his Ki, and as fuesed with Kami knew that it can not be sensible by lower being including Nameks. But King Kai could sense him as being a lower God of Creation and priotector of life.

I think he can sense godly ki, but he doesn't have it.

I don't think he has godly ki nor can he sense it, which is the reason for his submission to Yeasty Kaioshin.

It's still debatable as to if that was why he withdrew from the match, as it's equally plausible that he did so out of respect for the person he thought was the Grand Kai.Nazi Cola wrote:I don't think he has godly ki nor can he sense it, which is the reason for his submission to Yeasty Kaioshin.
Kami seemed to always have a great sense of respect for those above him like Kaio, more than any other character. Piccolo probably just inherited that as a result from the merger.
But anyway, I think if Piccolo had any idea who Beerus was, let alone was able to sense his Godly nature - there's no way in hell he would have attacked him.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Piccolo was the one who was able to tell that Goku had not become a god before Videl joined the circle.

No, he said that their dimensions are too different, which is a way to say that there is a big gap between them. Daizenshuu later confirmed that Kaioshin was indeed stronger than Piccolo.Bullza wrote:That's pretty much how I always saw it.It's still debatable as to if that was why he withdrew from the match, as it's equally plausible that he did so out of respect for the person he thought was the Grand Kai.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
No Piccolo isn't the kind of sissy who'd quit like a bitch just because his opponent was stronger than him.
He said in his mind "Who is this man?" and the Kaioshin said he'd find out aloud and Piccolo realised he was using telepathy. He forfeited then told Goku that he was different order of being then soon approached him to ask if he was the Grand Kai.
He quit out of respect.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
That was a Viz error. The correct translation is this:Bullza wrote:No Piccolo isn't the kind of sissy who'd quit like a bitch just because his opponent was stronger than him.
He said in his mind "Who is this man?" and the Kaioshin said he'd find out aloud and Piccolo realised he was using telepathy. He forfeited then told Goku that he was different order of being then soon approached him to ask if he was the Grand Kai.
Chapter: 439 (DBZ 245), P12.3-4
Context: after Piccolo and Kaioshin's match
Goku: “That much, Piccolo?...”
Piccolo: “Yeah…Our dimensions…are too different…”
Kuririn: “Yo-you’re kidding, right? Stop joking around! I-I’ve got to fight him next”
Note: Piccolo’s line is a pretty standard way of saying that someone is stronger than you. You can find a lot of instances of people being described as in “a different dimension” throughout these quotes, like Tenshinhan talking about Super Saiyan Goku, or the narrator describing final form Freeza. In Viz the line is made vaguer (“He is a different order of being”), which makes it sound like Piccolo could just be talking about how Kaioshin is a super-god, rather than about his strength per-say. Anyway, though Piccolo's pretty much flat-out saying Kaioshin's way stronger than him, you could still argue that he's mistaken or lying...I guess.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
Still seems pretty much the same thing, that could also be seen as dimensions apart based on status. Obviously Piccolo realised something the second he realised the Kaioshin could read his mind and thought he was the Grand Kai in which case he was never going to fight him out of respect.
Why would someone like Piccolo quit like a girl just because he was up against someone stronger than him? If that was a problem for him why even enter the tournament to begin with when he already knows Goku, Vegeta and Gohan are stronger than him?
Why would Piccolo be able to gauge his power when everyone else was clueless?
No what makes sense is that Picoolo now with Kami's mind also was a God, knew of the Kai's and someone above them, assumed the guy infront of him was this person so forfeited to be respectful to a high level god.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
Piccolo used a statement that was always used to say "this guy is much stronger than me", and Kuririn also understood it like that, since he got scared of Kaioshin because he would fight him next. Kaioshin really was stronger than Piccolo, there is no doubt about it.Bullza wrote:Still seems pretty much the same thing, that could also be seen as dimensions apart based on status. Respect was also probably a factor of his surrender, but the main factor, as he said, was that he was much stronger than him.Why would someone like Piccolo quit like a girl just because he was up against someone stronger than him? If that was a problem for him why even enter the tournament to begin with when he already knows Goku, Vegeta and Gohan are stronger than him?
IMO, godly ki that apparently Piccolo can sense because he has merged with Kami. Why would Piccolo be able to gauge his power when everyone else was clueless?

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
It could be that Piccolo can't sense godly ki, you know. He just knows how to recognize that he's not sensing it; like astronomers looking for black holes or planets outside the solar system.
It could be that he was aware of what he was because of what he didn't sense. If he could sense his ki, he'd be like "oh so that's what it is", but since he couldn't there was some level of confusion.

If it means anything,,,from daizenshuu 2 battles:
Piccolo vs Shin: Sensing a tremendous gap in their powers at Shin's fearless smile, Piccolo withdraws soon after the match begins.

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
Well it says, "Sensing a tremendous gap in their powers at Shin's fearless smile" which kinda indicates that Piccolo thought there was a huge gap in their powers because Kaioshin looked so completely confident. That quote doesn't seem to indicate that Piccolo actually felt Kaioshin's ki.Super Vegetto wrote:If it means anything,,,from daizenshuu 2 battles:

Re: Does Piccolo Have god Ki
Kaioshin really was stronger than Piccolo, there is no doubt about it.
I have no qualms about him being stronger just that Piccolo would quit just because of it without even doing anything. So Piccolo would have no problem as long as his opponent was weaker? If he'd have been matched up with Goku or Vegeta would he have also quit like a punk?
but the main factor, as he said, was that he was much stronger than him.
But he didn't plainly say that nor would he quit just because of it in the first place. He knew Beerus was stronger than him but still had a go, that's how he is.
IMO, godly ki that apparently Piccolo can sense because he has merged with Kami.
That wouldn't make any sense because he couldn't sense Beerus. If he had Godly Ki the others wouldn't be able to sense him and there was never any implication that they couldn't.
