It all depends on the writer really.
Funny you mention Man of Steel cause I hear theres talks in Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice that Superman actually gets a statue for his actions.
Well I see so many super powered fights in the city. I'd think he'd at least try to take the enemy away from it. Also he uses property for weapons....why?
A statue...for tearing up the city unnecessarily...did Mr. Satan's fans move to Metropolis?

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
Well as much as I love Man of Steel i'm not gonna base on his character in this story (or maybe a little with Sup's brutality )
I present you page 74 and 75. Now I need 3-4 days break to keep up with the pages
Hell yeah, this is awesome! More exciting than whatever's happening in new manga scans right now.
Sean Schemmel is THE MAN! :)
Me- "Also, before anyone mentions it, Schemmel's interview was from nearly 15 years ago. He paid a brief visit to Kanzenshuu's forums a few years back and earned legendary respect that cancels out anything he said from that long ago. :D"
This kinda makes me want to go watch the "Superman gets brainwashed" episode/s again in the old Supes cartoon.

Also, do you have other DB comics? Your sig says you have a One Piece one.
Is it complete yet or are you working on it in conjunction with this one?

Guess that's why you didn't use it.
From what I've picked up from the comments. Goku is stronger, but Superman is tougher. Superman also gets rejuvinated by the sun, so he gets healed, and his powers stay relatively the same as when they started.

Hey just curious Einstein but at what point between episode 324 and 385 is the One Piece/DBZ crossover supposed to take place? Btw, it was pretty awesome.

Honestly, I completely forgot what saga is One Piece crew in there
As far as I can tell from the comic, I think it takes place before or after the Thriller Bark arc.
EDIT- Zoro has 3 swords! Based on the appearance of each of the characters and that fact, it takes place just right after episode 384. (which is also when a movie, ova and tv special also take place in the OP universe)
