Looks like it's trying to go for an "official news & series information site" sort of thing, like a fansite but with Toriyama's stamp of approval (and also the promotional interests of the companies involved at heart, I'm sure).

It is, or at least seems to be. There is a comment from Toriyama, a V-Jump logo and all the other legal stuff for Shueisha and Bird Studios on the site.
I wouldn't have posted about it if it was an obvious fan thing, but that's just me.

Well, bring on 2016. That's the 30th anniversary of the DB anime. Still a small chance for a Dragon Ball Kai covering the beginning. Of course, then I'd have to keep my promise and eat my hat.

Cool site, I wonder what we will get for the anniversary outside of new game and the movie.
Those lotery prizes are damn awesome! Really, usually the Japanese merchandise acompanying something like BOG for example, was pretty lame. It's this cheap stuff like pencils with the characters and soda pop with pictures or themed food,
is pretty lame. But here I liked almost everything.

The kanji should be right, but double check to be sure. I haven't seen two of them before.

Anyway, it's nice to see the artwork from the Dragon Box singles' special diorama in nice quality on the internet. I only remember being able to find the second one in decent quality.

It may have just gone up on the site as part of their New Year's message, but that image of Bloomer and co is nothing new. I think it was first produced to go with the Dragon Box singles.
