There is also a nearby restaurant that when you go inside there is a photo of Akira Toriyama with his wife ALTHOUGH! i am not exactly sure what happened to that picture, I guess my loss for not backing it up.

It says they used to allow requests for just autographs (without accompanying illustrations), but due to "various circumstances" (probably too many people), they no longer do that. They apologize to fans who have come all the way out for that purpose, but ask for their understanding.

In Saitama and Tokyo where I was no one had a lawn. That shit was precisely planned out to fit maximum houses on a block. And no room on the streets to park. They had little carports built into the side of the house barely big enough for their tiny cars to squeeze in to park and crack the door open to slither out. It's actually pretty amazing, and I'm from a pretty big urban area.

It's likely. I feel like it may have been before the site fusion (and so, harder to find) but that reads familiar. I know I've seen and commented on that house on these forums in the past. I would've left the source I'd gotten the photo from though (ANN?) because I've never been there.

I was surprised at how little lawn with how a fan of living somewhere rural Toriyama seemed to be from interviews. (For all I know he probably has another house somewhere out in a rural locale). I can understand wanting to maximize house-space. These carports sound interesting.

It's a really nice house, but -- not to be rude or anything -- Toriyama could be living in a much bigger house, couldn't he? I don't know how much he's worth, but considering what a worldwide phenomenon DB is, it would have to be a whole lot. It's big, definitely, but a mansion? On one hand, I think it says something that the creator of DB lives in a house of that size. But, on the other hand, it stands out like a motherfucker.
