Wow, 5 years to this day this thread was made and still no news on it other than it has been dubbed At this point I am not expecting it to happen and if it does it'll be a nice surprise. I just hope FUNi's Buu Kai dub doesn't end up like this.

Nah, he's never had access to that information. But the fact he can disclose his involvement must mean that he is allowed to, as is Lee Tockar!

So perhaps we can start a petition without pretense asking for a release. Though, we'd have to double check by asking them if that's the case.

I think it's Lee Tockar whom we need to tweet regarding this. He stated he couldn't tell us anything about when it would be released.

We need to ask if this is because there is a release date planned, or simply because it is unknown information; even for the distributers.

I would tweet him myself, but I've already poked around and I would hate to feel like I am bothering the poor guy.

I don't see how that's a bad thing. The FUNi dubbing for Dragon Ball as whole since Kai has been very good.

Its not bad..there just some voices I can't stand in it. It would be nice to have another dub epshally is it involves Drummonds vegeta and McNeils piccolo. Thats what I'm most hyped for

Too bad it seems like we'll never hear a modern performance from Drummond and McNeil because Canadian TV networks aren't willing to give Dragon Ball Kai a chance.

I agree, it does feel like Ocean got screwed. I really think Toei are personally behind the production of this dub, and it's so annoying because the option was there to put this out in the UK - a country known for broadcasting the Ocean version - but no.

I know FUNI have a dub that is really up to scratch, but there really is a market for the Ocean dub. It doesn't make Funimation's dub any less available for those who want it. It has global recognition.

I'm only so angry about this whole thing because it's genuinely upsetting.

If it is TOEI that would be interesting since they have a tight relation to FUNi...tho FUNi seems to have some sort of involvement too (providing video at least). Just a very odd situation.

I know, it's all so very strange. If they were gonna dump this project, they would have stopped half way through or whenever it was apparent it wasn't going anywhere.

Going by his username being "Beach" and mentioning that he's in Cardfight!! Vangard and Scan2Go in his profile, I believe this would be James Beach.

Interesting. Since he specifically mentioned playing one character in episode 21 I'd have to guess it was someone who never showed up again thereafter. It could either be a Namekian who was killed or just one of Freeza's generic henchmen, might be wrong though. Maybe he did play the character more than once but was just most proud of his work in that episode and wanted it for his reel.

Judging from his previous roles (if it is James Beach) I doubt it's Dodoria as he only seems to have voiced young males with higher pitched voices. Maybe he has greater range than I'm giving him credit for but I'd be very surprised if that was the case. Anyway he's definitely a Blue Water actor judging from the cast members he worked with previously.

I wonder why he couldn't get a master directly from Ocean.

@ NitroEX - do you think given that Brian Drummond and Lee Tockar can talk openly about their involvement gives us room to include it in the petition statement?
