Initially, my idea was to turn DAIMA into a film of approximately 100-120 minutes. However, I'm currently unable to undertake a project of that scale. The editing process would be time-consuming and quite laborious. Furthermore, there are some practical obstacles, such as the constant ship changes and the emergence of Super Saiyan 4, which would make cuts and continuity errors very noticeable. Therefore, a more viable alternative would be to condense the series into 13 episodes.
For now, this serves only as an initial draft of the idea.
Below, I explain some of the justifications for the cuts I considered:
• Gomah doesn't need to be surprised twice by the Saiyans' strength. For this reason, I chose to cut the scene in which Majin Vegeta appears, as it's inserted between other events that ultimately overshadow its impact. Thus, Gomah reacting desperately to Gotenks, Gohan, and Goku creates a more natural progression that's consistent with the previous events.
• I decided not to show Gomah, Neva, and Degesu passing through Warp, as it's more interesting for the audience to discover, along with Goku and company, the intricacies of the demon realm. Furthermore, Warp isn't really relevant in this first episode. The key here is to understand Gomah and Degesu's motivations.
