Arc Synopsis
In order to receive training from Kame-Sen’nin, Goku must bring back a pichi-pichi girl. Along with Kuririn, another aspiring pupil, Goku sets out on a girl search. The two of them bring back Lunch, whose personality suddenly changes each time she sneezes, and become pupils. Having endured harsh training, Goku and Kuririn succeed in entering the Tenka’ichi Budōkai, which determines the strongest martial arts masters in the world. Match #1 arrives. Kuririn easily knocks down his opponent Bacterian.
Strong opponents appeared before Goku. The mystery man Jackie Chun defeats Yamcha and Kuririn. His mystery deepens as he continues to win through astounding strength, and unleashes a Kamehameha during his match with Kuririn. It then turned out that Jackie Chun’s identity, which he had tried to conceal, was Goku and Kuririn’s master Kame-Sen’nin. Meanwhile, Goku easily advances, knocking down Giran in his first match and Namu in his second. And then the finals begin, with Goku versus Jackie Chun. The fierce battle reaches its conclusion, and Goku loses by a hair’s breadth.
