Arc Synopsis
Kuririn leaves to talk to the Eldest, but instead comes into contact with the surviving Namekian Dende, who knows the password for the Dragon Balls. Calling forth Porunga, they revive the dead Piccolo on Kaiō’s planet and bring him to Planet Namek. However, in the middle of their wishing, the Eldest dies. And then, learning that his wish would not be granted, Freeza explodes in anger.
Thinking that he couldn’t lose against Freeza, the reborn Piccolo displays his power. However, Freeza finally transformed into his third-form and then his final-form. Even Vegeta, who had become even stronger after once again coming back from the brink of death, was no match. In the midst of the hopeless situation, Goku was finally completely revived. Taking the pride of the fallen Saiyan Vegeta, Goku challenges Freeza. However, even fighting at full power his attacks were of no effect. And even then Freeza was only putting out 50% of his power. A fading Goku raised the bar to Kaiō-Ken x10, but even that still didn’t faze Freeza. Even a Kaiō-Ken x20 powered Kamehameha fired with all of his strength couldn’t defeat Freeza.
Goku decided to use his final trump card, the Genki-Dama. In order to bring down the powerful enemy Freeza, Goku had to make it especially large. Suffering through Freeza’s fierce attacks, he at last succeeds with the Genki-Dama attack. However, it wasn’t enough to defeat Freeza. On top of that, Freeza killed Kuririn with his psychic powers. Goku quivered with rage, and finally became the legendary warrior, the Super Saiyan. Through Kaiō’s tactics, the Namekians are revived and sent to Earth. The final battle to determine the strongest in the universe had now begun between Goku and Freeza.
Freeza is quickly beaten by the Super Saiyan Son Goku, who has overwhelming speed and power. Still, Goku is caught up in the explosion of Planet Namek, and is thought to be dead. But the others learn that he somehow managed to survive when they try to revive him with the Namekian Dragon Balls. Porunga announces Goku wants to return to Earth on his own, and so they use the wishes to revive everyone else.
