==Summary==
Kaiō is going for a joyride around his small planet, cracking bad jokes to Bubbles and Gregory, when Goku teleports in front of them. Kaio crashes the car into his house in surprise, and is annoyed to learn that Goku has stopped by for more training.

On Earth, Bulma is flying over to a resort island in her personal plane, with Trunks napping in the back and Vegeta standing outside on the roof. When Vegeta complains that this will not count as training, Bulma ramps up the speed and dives underwater for a bit. Later, while shopping on the island, Bulma asks Vegeta why he’s taking time out of his training to go on a trip like this with them. Vegeta thinks back to when he promised to take Trunks to an amusement park while the two were training before Majin Buu appeared. Bulma notes that Vegeta seems somehow different since fighting Buu. The family goes on to enjoy various attractions around the island, including a train and a lot more shopping, before having dinner in a fancy restaurant. Trunks and Vegeta both devour endless food, until Vegeta gets covered head to toe in ink while eating a whole octopus. This angers him so much that his power shatters the restaurant’s windows, but he finally manages to restrain himself.

While the family sit on the beach watching the sunset, Bulma sees a cruise liner and thinks that a ship like that might be a good place to hold her birthday party. As the nighttime festivities get increasingly rowdy, Vegeta is having trouble containing his irritation. Despite having admitted during the battle with Buu that Goku is number one, he still does not want to fall behind on his training. When the MC invites him up on stage, it is the last straw; he finally snaps and blasts off. Bulma is impressed that he managed to last so long, and Trunks happily calls out “thanks dad!” as Vegeta vanishes into the distance.

Out in the depths of space, Beerus is trying to remember the details of his dream as he and Whis head to another alien planet. On this planet, primitive green creatures with four eyes and four arms battle against a gigantic winged dinosaur. The natives' stone weapons are no match, but in the end the dinosaur is single-handedly defeated by a larger yellow member of their species: their leader. No sooner has the leader defeated the dinosaur than Whis appears before him, asking if he and Beerus can try some of the dinosaur’s meat. When the leader does not understand, Whis repeats the request in the natives' grunting language. Unpersuaded, the leader transforms into a larger red form, ready for a fight. Beerus has lost patience; he had hoped eating the meat of such a “gutsy” creature might help him remember the figure from his prophetic dream. Whis points out the Beerus’ “prophetic” dreams have not been terribly accurate in the past, such as when Beerus dreamed that a pop idol would be moving in with them. Deciding he can do without the meat after all, Beerus easily kills the native leader, and proceeds to blow up the planet.

As the planet is destroyed, the Elder Kaiōshin off in the Kaiōshin Realm can tell that something is wrong. He asks the younger Kaiōshin if he can sense that the God of Destruction, Beerus has awakened. Back on Earth, Vegeta has returned to Capsule Corporation and starts training in the gravity room, while Goku has likewise begun training on Kaiō’s planet by dragging huge weights around. Seeing the planet’s explosion causes Beerus to finally remember the figure from his dream: “Super Saiyan God”. He and Whis return home so that he can try and remember more…
As they near the Dragon Ball, their good fortune takes a turn for the worse when an apple falls on it. Before they have chance to retrieve it, a giant hawk takes the apple with the Dragon Ball on it and gives it to a giant alien. He then eats it, which causes the Dragon Ball to stick into his tooth.
==Synopsis==
The Saiyan Bardock and his companions are conquering the planet Kanassa for their overlord, Freeza. An ambush by a survivor of their attack renders Bardock unconscious, and leaves him with the ability to see the future. This power proves to be more of a curse than a blessing, as Bardock is now privy to the details of his own death, and the destruction of his world. As Bardock strives in a doomed effort to ensure that the events seen in his visions do not come to pass, his son, Kakarot, is sent on a mission to eradicate all life on a planet called Earth.

==Summary==
On the day of his birth, the son of the Saiyan warrior, Bardock, is analyzed by a group of physicians on planet Vegeta. At the same time, a band of lower class Saiyans are laying waste to a city in their Oozaru forms. As the sun rises, these Saiyans, led by Bardock, relish in their conquest of the planet.

The group discusses how the people of the planet Kanassa are said to possess psychic abilities that allow them to see the future. Suddenly, a sole survivor springs a surprise attack on the band of Saiyans. The attack is repelled by the Saiyans, but the assailant, with his dying words, curses Bardock with the ability to see visions of the future. Now Bardock will have to suffer visions of the destruction of his planet, just as the victims of his attack did.

Bardock is left unconscious in a healing tank back on Vegeta, and the rest of his crew depart for a mission to the planet Meat, following orders directly from Freeza himself. As Bardock heals, he starts experiencing vivid hallucinations. He sees images of Kakarot growing up on a foreign planet and becoming stronger through numerous battles with powerful opponents. However, he also suffers visions of planet Vegeta exploding.

As Bardock awaits, he learns of the orders given to his team, and rushes to join them, briefly stopping to check on his son. Arriving on Meat, Bardock finds his teammates dead on a barren battlefield. His closest friend, Toma, with his dying breath that their mission was a setup to eliminate any powerful Saiyans who might potentially pose a threat to Freeza's reign.

While taking in this information, Bardock is attacked by the soldiers who killed his crew: the elite team of Dodoria, one of Freeza's right-hand men. Fighting them four-on-one, he is able to use his quick thinking to survive and take out his opponents. Dodoria himself enters the fray, however, and quickly dispatches the lone Saiyan. Thinking Bardock dead, Dodoria leaves to rejoin Freeza.

Bardock is still alive, however, and manages to get to his ship and set it to take him back to Vegeta. Along the way, he passes another space pod, which he senses contains Kakarot. Bardock lands on the planet, and, in a panic, tries to spread the word of Freeza's betrayal. No one believes him, however, and he is mocked for even suggesting that Freeza would turn on the Saiyans. With no other options, Bardock decides to attempt to stop Freeza and his men alone.

After seeing a vision of his son as an adult confronting Freeza, Bardock flies into space to confront Freeza. He is assaulted by dozens of Freeza's men, and while he manages to fight them off, they do slow him down. Freeza himself then emerges from the top of his ship, ready to finally put an end to the Saiyan world. Bardock, seeing his true foe, launches his strongest opponent in a last-ditch effort to save his planet.

This effort is in vain, however, as Freeza's rapidly growing attack is unfazed by Bardock's blast. Freeza unleashes his Death Ball, which consumes both Bardock and his own soldiers. As Bardock succumbs to the attack, he experiences one final vision: his son will one day face Freeza, and will triumph over the tyrant. Bardock dies with a smile on his face as the planet Vegeta is destroyed.

Blissfully unaware of all that has happened, Bardock's son, Kakarot, is discovered in a forest by Son Gohan, a great martial artist. Gohan adopts the baby to raise as his own grandson, giving him the name "Son Goku."
==Summary==
On the day of his birth, the infant saiyan named Kakarrot is analyzed by the staff physicians on Planet Vegeta, and said to be the son of the warrior, Bardock. Elsewhere, on the Planet Kanassa, under the light of a full moon, a band of lower class ranked saiyan warriors have transformed into their Oozaru forms and are laying waste to its cities and inhabitants.

At sunrise, the band of saiyans, led by Bardock, are relishing in their conquest of the planet. They have heard rumors that the Kanassan people possess psychic abilities that allow them to see the future. Just then, a sole Kanassan survivor, Tohro, springs a surprise attack on Bardock from amidst the rubble. Though the saiyans quickly retaliate, the dying Tohro curses Bardock with his dying words. Having foreboding visions regarding the saiyan invasion of his planet, and his own death by their hands, Tohro has passed that power to Bardock via his attack technique. Now, Bardock too, will be cursed to bear witness to his own destruction and that of his people.

Having blacked out from Tohro’s attack, Bardock is left to recuperate in a standard healing tank back on their home world, while the rest of his crew depart for a mission to Planet Meat. The orders came from the alien overlord Freeza himself. While resting in the rejuvenating liquid, Bardock begins to experience vivid hallucinations. Images of his son, Kakarrot, traveling to a foreign world, growing up, and becoming stronger through many battles with powerful opponents. Also, a disturbing vision of Planet Vegeta exploding torments him.

Upon awakening, Bardock learns of the specific orders issued to his team, and rushes to join them. Stopping only briefly to take a look at his newborn son, he tries to dismiss the visions as nonsense upon the disappointing assumption that his offspring is a weakling. Arriving on Meat, Bardock finds his teammates dead or dying on a barren battlefield. Toma, Bardock’s closest friend, reveals in his dying breath that the whole mission was a setup to eliminate any powerful saiyans who might one day pose a threat to Freeza’s reign.

It is then that Bardock is ambushed by Dodoria’s elite team, the very same who killed his crew. Engaging them four on one, Bardock eliminates them one by one with his quick thinking and confusion tactics. Dodoria, one of Freeza’s right hand men, then attacks Bardock with a large blast that he believes has finished off the saiyan. After returning to Freeza’s starship, they move towards the saiyan home world to finish off the rest. Only then do they realize that Bardock has survived and is also headed back to warn everyone.

Nearing orbit of Planet Vegeta, Bardock’s ship passes another; one headed out into the far reaches of space on a different trajectory. He senses that the occupant is his son. No doubt being sent to conquer a weaker planet not worth sending stronger warriors to. With Kakarrot safely away, Bardock is free to focus on saving those who are left. Yet, on his return, none will be rallied to the cause of combating the looming threat that approaches. Bardock is mocked and ridiculed for even suggesting that Freeza would turn on them. His course of action is clear, in a desperate, final move; he will attempt to stop them alone.

Ascending the steps of the tallest tower in the city, Bardock is haunted by a surreal vision. One of his son as an adult, standing alone on an alien world, followed by an image of Freeza, which prompts him to snap back to reality and fly into the upper atmosphere to prevent the destruction of his world. Once there, he is assaulted by a legion of Freeza’s standard foot soldiers. Though no match for the saiyan, whose power is growing ever stronger by the day, they do manage to slow him down. It is then that Freeza emerges from the top of the ship, and begins to prepare his attack. Bardock, seething with anger at the betrayal of his people who served loyally, launches his strongest attack directly at his oppressor.

Freeza’s rapidly growing death ball simply absorbs Bardock’s attack as he launches the world destroying technique at the planet, completely disregarding the fact that dozens of his own soldiers are directly in the way. Unable to change the course of events that he had foreseen, Bardock is consumed by the attack headed for Planet Vegeta. As he dies, one last vision fills his mind. The unknown battlefield from before spreads out before him, with his grown son at one end, and Freeza at the other. The future is clear to him, there will be a balancing of the scales, and revenge on Freeza will come someday at the hands of Kakarrot. Bardock dies with a smile on his face.

Arriving on earth, baby Kakarrot is discovered in the forest by an old man. Not just any man, but a powerful martial artist who ranks among the strongest warriors on the humble planet. As the infant is there alone without anyone to care for him, Son Gohan decides to adopt and raise the baby himself. Giving him the name “Son Goku”, Gohan takes him home to become his grandson. Thus the story of Dragonball begins..
==Synopsis==
The origin story of Son Goku is revealed, in a Special Episode about his father, a Saiyan named Bardock. It is his son’s birthday, and an unconcerned Bardock is out with his crew, conquering another planet in the name of their overlord, the alien tyrant known as Freeza. Succumbing to a surprise special attack from one of the survivors of the Planet Kanassa, Bardock is given the ability to see the future. A veiled curse in the disguise of a blessing, as Bardock will now be privy to the details of his own demise, the same as those whom he had just killed. Through a series of devastating events, coupled with equally traumatizing visions, Bardock now futilely races against the clock to change future. Perhaps peace can be found in the visions of the future, and all is not lost without hope.

==Synopsis==
As Goku, Trunks, and Pan travel through space, they find themselves having trouble with their ship. They look outside, and see that a part has detached from the vessel. As their ship continues to have further malfunctions, they find themselves with no choice but to land on the nearby planet of Imegga. Upon their arrival, they discover that the people of this planet are willing to do anything to extort money out of the group. They find themselves staying in a hotel where they are charged for everything, and end up fleeing the place. The group ends up meeting a destitute Imeggan couple, who are evicted from their home by robots. The following morning, Trunks sees their spaceship being towed away, and the group enconters a small robot named Giru, who proceeds to eat the Dragon Radar!

==Synopsis==
It has been five years since Son Goku left the Tenka'ichi Budōkai to train Uub as his new pupil. As Uub's training ends, he participates in a sparring match with his master. While Goku battles his student, Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai secretly enter God's palace in order to steal a new set of Dragon Balls. This set of balls, which was made by the Namekian who would become God of Earth before he expunged the evil within him, is much more powerful than those that were created later. After finding these Black Star Dragon Balls, Pilaf summons a red Shenlong. Goku interrupts Pilaf while he is in the process of making his wish, startling Pilaf into accidentally wishing that Goku become small enough for him to beat. The dragon grants this wish, turning Goku into a child. Afterwards, the balls scatter, but, instead of being spread throughout the world like the normal balls, the Black Star balls are scattered throughout the galaxy. In addition to this, the use of these balls comes with a dangerous consequence: if they are not gathered within one year's time, the planet that the wish was made on will explode!
