原画Key Animation
A “key” animator (sometimes referred to as a genga animator) draws the key images in a scene, using the character layouts and storyboards as a guide. These animators are typically some of the more talented artists in the studio, sometimes even taking on the role of animation supervisor. The main job of the key animator is to draw enough frames to get across the major points of the action in a specific scene. For example, in a sequence of a character jumping across a ravine, the key animator may draw the frame of the character as he is about to jump, two or more as the character is flying through the air, and the final frame of the character landing on the other side of the ravine. All of the missing frames are then filled in later by in-between animators.
