The '''Hera Clan''' is a group of "Galactic Warriors" that laid waste to the galaxies long ago, survived by [[Bojack]] and his henchmen. While the clan name does not appear in the film in which these characters are introduced, it is regularly used in supplemental material.

==Name==
"Hera" is written in ''katakana'' as ヘラー (''herā''), followed by the ''kanji'' 一族 or ''hiragana'' equivalent いちぞく (''ichizoku''), denoting a "clan" or "group".

Any underlying name pun or reference is unknown, particularly one that may relate to the name pun scheme for the group of characters (that of "arrogance" and "evil"). As such, alternate romanizations such as "Hela" or "Heller" may also be accurate.

The earliest known references to the "Hera Clan" do not come from within the film in which [[Bojack]] and his henchmen originally appear ([[Dragon Ball Z Movie 9|the ninth theatrical ''Dragon Ball Z'' film]], originally released '''10 July 1993'''), nor within the Summer 1993 Toei Anime Fair pamphlet available to attendees, but actually within the video game ''[[Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2]]'' (released later that year '''17 December 1993''') and its supplemental material:

The game's guide book was released the following month ('''25 January 1994''') covering the game's controls, strategy, story, etc. While the Hera Clan is not referenced in Bojack's profile, it is referenced alongside Zangya, where it states:
