'''Karoni''' is a fictional character in the ''Dragon Ball'' universe by Akira Toriyama. He was one of two anime-only contestants introduced for the [[Cell Games]] and a pupil of [[Mister Satan]], with his major contributions in an episode scripted by [[Sumio Uetake]]. Karoni is a martial artist but lost quickly to [[Cell]] during his Cell Games.

==Name==
Karoni is one of three members of Mister Satan's entourage to get food names. In his case, he is named for "macaroni" while [[Pizza]] and [[Piroshki]] are named more directly for their foods. (Piroshki are an Easrern European/Russian style of filled buns.)

==Production==
Due to the production schedule inherent in producing a weekly anime series based on a weekly comic, the writers of ''[[Dragon Ball Z]]'' interjected anime-only material both as a means of extending the runtime and to flesh out the ''Dragon Ball'' universe. Karoni and the rest of Mister Satan's entourage were developed initially in an episode by [[Sumio Uetake]] and used to provide additional point-of-view characters to comment on the Cell Games, as well as to underscore just how powerful Cell was compared to the greatest "regular" martial artists on Earth.

==Notable Skills==
Karoni, despite being only at Mister Satan's level, is likely a formidable martial artist by human standards. He is particularly gifted at aerial and high-precision attacks and can even "catch a swallow from midair". He tends towards a flair towards the dramatic and cares deeply how his female fans see him. His trademark [[Beautiful Rose Flying Attack]] involves him jumping supremely high to pounce on his targets from above.

==Performance==
Karoni is played by [[Hirotaka Suzuoki]] in his original run in ''[[Dragon Ball Z]]'', better known as the voice of [[Tenshinhan]]. Although he is a filler character, he was voiced by [[Kazunari Tanaka]] in ''[[Dragon Ball Kai]]''. He was later played by [[Takahiro Fujimoto]] in his ''[[Dragon Ball Super]]'' appearances, best know as the voice actor behind ''Super'''s versions of [[Turtle]] and [[Bubbles]].
