Nappa later listens in on Raditz's scouter as he is subsequently killed on Earth by his brother and the namekian [[Piccolo]], and discovers the existence of the Dragon Balls. Nappa and Vegeta then depart for a year-long journey to Earth, choosing to not resurrect Raditz and instead wish for eternal life.
