Following its debut in chapter 409 with [[Son Gohan]]'s transformation battling [[Cell]], what we later know as "Super Saiyan 2" is not actually named as such until chapter 474, where [[Son Goku]] demonstrates various stages of transformation in a conversation with [[Boo]]. Beginning with regular [[Super Saiyan]], Goku powers up further stating:
