Interesting. I wonder if we'll get a "Limit Break" SS4 Broly.

Re: I think its time to admit that Toyotaro is a terrible writer.
I will say Zeno's intervention in the manga does feel less "negative" for Trunks and makes Goku seem like less of a jerk for it than in the anime. For one, we're never introduced to a group of freedom fighters/children Trunks bond with who are inevitably destroyed by Zamasu. Instead we're ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread
I bet my left nut Omega will one of the upcoming characters. The other is a toss-up between Raditz, Dabura, Toppo, and Pikkon. Raditz? Why? He's useless. I would prefer Ribrianne over him. It's actually quite possible. Assuming the next character's placement mirror's Roshi's (most likely) then Radi...

The fact that Zamasu, the strongest Kai in the cosmos, had to hijack the body of a saiyan to pose a threat to the protagonists... should tell you everything there is to know about the current state of the Supreme Kais. They are fodder. Unfortunately. Weren’t they always fodder? Like in this arc it’...

I've been seeing card art like this with the new avatar forms for the female saiyans paired up with other characters. Do other avatars have art like this? Where can I find it?

That’s 100% denial on your part. You know this aswell as I do that “toughest” is the correct translation and the word being used here by Goku. Not strongest. At least 3 highly respectable translators have confirmed that Goku used the word “toughest” to refer to Moro 73. Accept it. If you can provid...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Moro 73 was NOT stated to be the “strongest”.. That’s your headcanon, right there. He was stated to be the “toughest”. Big difference. And characters say stuff like this all the time to hype someone up. It really doesn’t mean much. Especially since we know that it usually always gets contradicted i...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Part of the problem is they introduced Goku mastering UI too early. It’s only been an arc and a movie for something that is seemingly so powerful & unbeatable. Goku even just being able to go into Omen at will for awhile would have been a step forward but still leave room to grow. Because now y...

Re: I think its time to admit that Toyotaro is a terrible writer.
*snip* That's brilliant detective work. And certainly something to keep an eye out for in the future. Anyhow, whether Toyotaro is considered a good writer ultimately depends on what one values in a story. How much does a call-back or reference devalue the quality of something? Do certain similariti...

I think its time to admit that Toyotaro is a incredible writer.
After reading these last few chapters of the Moro saga and rereading the DBS manga as a whole, its dawned on me just how great and imaginative of a writer Toyotaro really is. I get the sense he has a true grasp of how the characters in the series are at their core, and can derive tension off that in...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
- Copying and absorbing are different abilities. Moro normally only changes chape only when he absorbs, not when he copies. Moro becoming more white and angel-like feels just like transforming because of the show-aspect, rather then because of it truely makes sense. Not that it never has happened b...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
So Goku pretty much confirmed that Moro, the pre-Merus copied Seven-Three absorbed Moro, is stronger than anyone else he's fought so far. That would likely include Beerus, Broly, and Jiren. Pretty interesting.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
We're talking about different kinds of superfans in this instance. I'm talking about people who catalogue the show, its history, locations, lore, etc. Toyotaro drew a fan manga. Either way, Dragon Ball needs a fact checker/loremaster, so the easy errors are caught, that's the point I was making. Ed...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?
The Dragon Ball Super ratings in Japan were not incredible at all. They weren’t bad but pretty typical for the time period they were on but didn’t break any records or anything and they actually went down a bit as the series went on. This really says nothing though. Less people are watching TV now....

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?
Just want to point out this is very much the opposite in Japan. In Japan it’s very common to read manga but watching anime is considered for kids and Otaku. Now obviously Dragon Ball is more mainstream then your average anime in Japan but saying less people read comics is not necessarily true. And ...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?
I mean how do you even determine how many people read or don’t read the manga except by sales data and in the anime case ratings data? Social media isn’t really a good gauge because only hardcore fans really get involved in debates and discussions. I mean there is honestly not any proof that less p...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?
I am not sure what people mean most people don’t read the manga. The sales for it in Japan and abroad shows that is very much not true. And that is just sales of the volume version it doesn’t count who is reading it on the Shounen Jump app or in V-Jump in Japan. Regardless of the fact it’s definite...

Re: I absolutely hate the idea of Beerus having ANY type of UI..
taking a fusion warrior to reach his level MEANS being overpowered compared to the heroes Except it's not just fusion. Jiren was heavily implied to be above the other Gods of Destruction. Ultra Instinct Goku was implied to have surpassed Beerus. Broly is suggested outright to be stronger. And Goget...

Re: So is this whole Moro arc basically the, "Garlic Jr. saga" of Super?
At this point I'll take a moment to say that if "canon" is defined within the original manga and filler in the original Dragon Ball anime is decidedly "non-canon", then that would make the DBS anime "non-canon". The DBS anime is a sequel to the DBZ anime, as several plo...

Re: I absolutely hate the idea of Beerus having ANY type of UI..
But the thing is, Beerus isn't overpowered. He hasn't been for quite some time. Almost certainly not since Vegito Blue (arguably.) And definitively not since Broly. Ultra Instinct is probably the best way for Beerus to continue being a reliably strong member of the cast moving forward. Otherwise he ...
