The ending was so stupid. Not only did they make a bad character win it, but his wish and the revelation about what a selfish wish would have done just makes the entire story arc meaningless.

Assuming that Toriyama wanted to introduce Cooler into Dragon Ball Super as a throwback to one of his character designs and as a way to expand Freeza's story, how would you place Cooler into Dragon Ball Super and what would his role be? I think it's just another one of the silly things that makes Dragon Ball Super ridiculous.

For the most part, the DBZ movie villains are better than the villains in the manga that that they were based off of.

Ex: Lord Slug > King Piccolo, Cooler > Freeza, Cooler's Squad > Ginyu Force, Janemba > Buu

I really despise Golden Freeza because it makes the whole concept of Cooler entirely pointless. And despite all that power up for Freeza, he still got his ass kicked the whole movie and was made to look like a fool.

Base Cooler vs Final Form Freeza. That would be the only close match between the two.

If Coola trained with the desire to get a golden form he'd likely be able to train himself to remove the strain from it, unlike Freeza. He's smarter in and not as lazy in that regard.
