Watched first 6 episodes, it was pretty enjoyable and charming, it has that Toriyama simplicity that one loves. Looking forward to that new story he supervised.

According to MANGA Plus, the series was previously scheduled to resume in May but no longer is displayed as such, it's now under indefinite hiatus.

Takashi Matsuyama reflects on the passing of Toriyama. Matsuyama was Toriyama's second assistant, he assisted on the second half of Dr. Slump and nearly the entirety of Dragon Ball.

Saying that "Dragon Ball has no canon" is like saying Dragon Ball has no source material or no context behind its origin and production, a complete dismissal of the manga.

Because, even though he originally "did not want to do any of those things", he still ultimately contributed to those things. His influence and vision can be seen in those things. Otherwise, Lord Beerus would still be some random lizard who spreads a virus or whatever Toei originally cook...

As has been repeatly said, more Dragon Ball content will still come out and it will be different. As sad as his passing is, it will not greatly affect how I interact with series. I have equally enjoyed and disliked the non-Toriyama content made by Toei staff (and other contributors), and same thing ...
