Re: The Harmony Gold Dub & Broadcast Audio Discussion Thread
FHE also put out Robotech on VHS, another property of Harmony Gold. Robotech made sense though since Streamline Pictures didn't exist until '88 and FHE's robotech releases were produced before then, that being said i looked up "dragon ball the journey begins" and thus far haven't turned u...

I have no idea. He just said he's going to provide a download link in the future. I'll keep an eye on it. I don't think this guy's a faker either.DB1984 wrote:Wait a minute, so it was Family Home Entertainment who released them on VHS? I thought it was Streamline.

Pretty sure that this is it, though correct me if I'm wrong. This is only the opening, though he obviously had the VHS digitized. The guy said this VHS has the "first three episodes" of Dragon Ball.

Re: Why you really did not like Dragon Ball GT/parts of it
I kind liked GT when I was little (I thought Trunks was hilarious for some reason), so I decided to record some of the FUNi dub from NickToons (I know that's not quite the best channel for it, with all the censoring) to see if I had a different opinion. Dear God, that Mark Menza score is absolutely ...

Re: Favourite DBZ Vocalists
For me, I'd say good-old "Mr. DBZ" (aka Hironobu Kageyama) is probably one of my favorites. I love some of his slower songs (Compass of Gold, Comet Library, Goodbye, Tears!). He's just so full of emotion, and he really pours it all out when he sings. KUKO is awesome too. Her voice just wor...

Re: What's your opinion on the Ocean dub music?
I love some of the Levi suites that were released (Gohan's Friend, Escape from Piccolo). I've only watched a little bit of the Westwood dub, and I can't really say that I heard any memorable BGM. I'm not really biased when it comes to Falcouner or the original BGM either. I just like whatever sounds...

Re: Cha-La-Head-Cha-La German version
The PAL conversion is most likely the reason. The instrumental track is obviously copyrighted, so they might have put it at a higher pitch to prevent the copyright bots from recognizing it.
You can probably use Audacity to alter the pitch of the song.

Question Regarding the DBZ Hit Song Collections?
So, I have sort of a strange question for you all. This might be for someone Japanese to answer. There's a singer on some of the DBZ Hit Song Collection CDs called "Tricky Shirai". He mostly sang duets with KUKO (Waffle). I really like his voice, so I tried to research him to find out more...
