Re: Unreleased Big Green Dubs (DB 1-3, DBZ 10-13, GT Special
I have an old VHS with: - Film 1 - Second half of Film 4 - Film 5 - Promo for Film 3 Things to note: Opening and Ending sequences are different than the original Japanese source as they have english credits overlayed. Film 1 is 4:3 but the others appear cropped? So has anyone managed to find the rem...

Re: The International Version of the Buu-Kai Arc
I found this on JASRAC: Apparently, there are alternative japanese names for the OST tracks, some of them are longer: Does this indicate that the soundtrack will be released in Japan eventually? Are there any new titles that haven't been released on the international OST yet? Some of the music is r...

Re: Was Dead Zone edited when it aired on Toonami
That scene actually isn't as explicit as it is in the manga. Her breasts are only shown for literally a split second in the anime. I presume they removed that split second from the UK broadcast, the varying amount of edits between each dub that was broadcast in the UK is strange. They edited out 's...

Re: Was Dead Zone edited when it aired on Toonami
I think in the UK they aired all of the 'Big Green' film dubs uncut in the UK (during the day, 5pm and mornings) but I would assume that all of the films would have aired edited if they were shown during the day in the US. The UK Blue Water dub of 'Dragon Ball' aired very uncut to an extent, I can'...

Re: "Let It Burn" lyrics
"(Then leave them watch you shine, let it burn)" could be "(Believe in what you.....???) "LOVE WILL STOP YOU FROM RISING" perhaps "NEVER STOP YOU FROM RISING" First two missing lines: "There is no need to be, afraid right now" "Let it shine more than...

Re: The German DBZ Kai dub trailer is here...
If the original cast were too expensive it's understandable, and there is no way they can go back now. Petitions and angry messages aren't going to stop this, the way to look at it is that Z and Kai are unrelated and they can have their own separate dub cast, kinda like Funimation. My main questions...

Re: Dragon Ball Karaoke CD?
I found a copy and have listened to it, it's not a bootleg anyway, 6 tracks featured which are the DB OP + ED, DBZ OP1+2 ED1+2. It's just average synthesized instrumentals of the original songs, nothing exciting. If anyone wants to upload info to a music database or would like more info just messag...

Re: Things That "Justify" Dragon Ball Kai
You've caught me out, sorry for doubting you Kei, and here I thought all along Kai did well, I had no idea it was that bad.... Makes me wonder what were the main aspects about Kai that was so unappealing, I'm guessing it was the name 'Dragon Ball Kai' as if it was an entirely different series to Z, ...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
So how do you guys think the pre-Universe 6 stuff will be divided up? I'm thinking the first episode will lead into the BoG adaptation, then the next 2 to 3 episodes will be the Bog adaptation, then we'll get 1 or 2 episodes of Goku and Vegeta training with Whis, the other characters doing stuff on...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Does anyone else suspect Jaco might get a proper re-introduction to Super? I far as I know, he just kinda appeared outta no-where as a known character in ROF, I could be wrong. Of course we've seen him in the manga but I don't know how that fits into the anime.

Re: Things That "Justify" Dragon Ball Kai
Toei and Namco Bandai's sales figures do not seem to agree to that, though. Kai didn't boost the merchandising sales at all. There was no success that you refer to. It just failed and got cancelled. It was actually DB Heroes that helped the franchise. Kai's failure might have helped them realize th...

Re: Things That "Justify" Dragon Ball Kai
I didn't think Stereo was too bothersome to any DBZ fan until I read up about it on this forum. Things that justify Kai from Toei's perspective: - Easy re-marketing of old brand, easy to remaster, easy to crop, cost effective. - Easy franchise for merchandise, more deals. - Opportunity for artist de...

Re: Kai Episode 159 (28 June 2015)
The very last track is called Goku on the International OST. The one before that has the fan-called name Good always wins if I remember correctly. It first played when Buu was defeated. Anyhow, I enjoyed this episode, and I'm still kinda sad to see Kai go. Yes Kai had it's good things and bad thing...

What were the final two tracks from this episode? They were really great, topped any other bgm I've heard from the finale of DBZ across all the dubs.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Music sounded good, anyone got a translation of what Goku is saying? Might reveal more about the plot. They could have shown scenes before a time-skip, but there's even a chance it will differ from the official story due to a certain character's time-traveling abilities. Still confusing to figure ou...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
So they kept 16-bits SNES music style for Super Butoden 2 . Interesting, they avoided a graphics-music clash. The melodies are new, but the rythm and tone of the tracks were kept as much as possible. It's hard to explain, they're new tracks, but you could still tell which track was meant to replace...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
Opening sequence has been uploaded, recycled Kuu Zen Zetsu Go! with a lot of still 'meh' shots. Just hoping the lackluster animation is an indication that Toei has been working hard on DBSuper rather than it giving us a taste of what is to come.
