Re: Faithful English covers of DBZ openings, endings, and insert songs
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't CHA-LA HEAD CHA-LA and WE GOTTA POWER the only DB songs FUNimation HASN'T dubbed? If not, that's REALLY ironic to me, given how 'Z' is more-or-less FUNi's bread-and-butter in terms of DB stuff. As far as opening songs go yes. They also never dubbed Zenkai Power o...

Attack of the Member Berries - Dragon Ball Dissection: The Super #17 Arc Part 3 Remember Freeza and Cell? Remember when you were a child? Remember when you were happy? Me neither. This is hot garbage. It's hot garbage strung together by logic so flimsy it makes Tullece seem as credible as #16. What...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
I have to admit, I would like to see a more accurate dub of the Innards of Buu filler.
After seeing how quite a bit got changed (including a brief gag that has Goku imply that he's shockingly vain), I wouldn't mind too much if FUNi took some time to make things more accurate.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
By the way, there's something I've been wondering. Do we think Goku (and maybe Vegeta and the other Saiyans) will need to re-unlock Super Saiyan? I don't know, I just see that being the case, given the rumors that transformations won't be a big focus of this series (which I'm personally VERY gratef...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
I wasn’t really saying that Daima “is” a remake to GT. You’re right that that’s probably not the intention, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a comparison made by people producing the anime. It certainly will be one by the people who are watching it. I absolutely do think the absence of Whis ...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
Yeah, Shin's role was one of the first things that really caught my eye. I have a feeling Daima will really be his arc where he gets some real character development and key moments in the plot. It looks like he and Goku will share many quiet scenes together this time, I can imagine some slightly mo...

Re: MistareFusion's Dragon Ball Dissection! (Updated 4/1/24!)
I wonder if MistareFusion will bring up how Krillin's relationship felt oddly strained throughout GT. Like, I know #18 and Marron occasionally come off as a bit difficult to please, but it REALLY felt as though those two had it out for Krillin in GT, and they just don't really give a crap about him ...

Re: The end of "Akira Toriyama canon"
When is Daima suppose to take place exactly? Are the rumors true that it will be after Buu but before the start of Super? Ngl, I've been having this strong feeling that Daima might take place in an alternate universe where Super and its content never occurred. That includes stuff like Beerus and Wh...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
I'll say this much, I do hope that Goten and Trunks will be given more to do following this chapter. Call me crazy, but it doesn't seem like much of a coincidence that the boys' lack of proper guidance in terms of martial arts was brought up quite a lot during the Super Hero arc...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
This is just speculation, but in light of recent events, I wonder if Daima is the way it is because Toriyama went into it knowing it would likely be the final Dragon Ball thing he worked on. Daima heavily drawing from the Buu arc, the final arc of the manga, based on what we've seen thus far would ...

Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
I don't know if anyone's posted this, but Cartoon Network (and I do mean Cartoon Network , no middleman stuff with Adult Swim. Like, CN THEMSELVES) acknowledged Toriyama's passing. While I do find it sweet, I do have to ask... would it have been an issue for them to post an actual image of Goku, rat...

Re: Dragon Ball Without Its Creator
I'm going to be totally honest here... while it's absolutely gutting me right now that Toriyama has left us, THIS might have been the first thing on my mind after hearing the news. Between GT and Toyotaro's work, I'm genuinely wondering if there's anyone who can continue DB's work, or if they even S...

Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
You know... this January, I finally took the time to read Neko Majin, and I can't even begin to describe how hilarious it was. Like, you could tell the man really was a gag manga writer at heart. I feel like Toriyama's non-DB works don't get enough credit.

My heart legit stopped for a moment upon seeing this on Twitter.
May he rest in peace. If nothing else, I owe a lot to him and Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon) for getting me into anime/manga as early as my toddler years.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
*Shrug* Hey, maybe Gohan's still an adult, but he's been captured and needs to be rescue For Reasons? lol I know it's obvious, but they can really do whatever they want for this set-up. I did read a tweet from DBSChronicles from around a day after the Battle Hour ended that said that he heard that ...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
With GT, Goku's power was the same as an adult. With Daima, it would be more interesting if he has to fight without Super Saiyan and his power level is now back to how it was during the Pilaf saga. I agree with this. Cause if it's just going to be more of the same with Ki blasts and transformations...

Re: Who composed Rock the Dragon?
If anyone DOES find out more about the origins of Rock the Dragon (be it from the Fukanagas, Jeremy Sweet, Ron Wasserman, etc.) could they please ask them the following questions? 1. Were there ever intended to be more lyrics to the song, or is what we got all that was meant to be there? 2. What's t...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
I finally got to see all of the Daima stuff yesterday, and while the animation was utterly gorgeous and it was interesting to see the younger forms of Krillin, Chi-Chi, #18, Hercule, and Buu(!!), I feel like Daima has REALLY got to get around to showing off at least a bit of this series' story alrea...
