Re: Obscure dubs
This is a thread for obscure international dubs of Dragon Ball/Z/GT, which includes but is not limited to: AB Groupe Worth noting, because I've learned not long ago that contrary to popular belief AB Groupe didn't fund or create any of the alternate English dubs from the early 2000s, they only dist...

Re: Is this Sean Shemmel?
Countdown Vampire is one of those cheaply localized games like Symphony of the Night that used whatever English speaking actors they could get in Japan for the dub. Jeff Manning was a regular in those dubs. Sean Schemmel wouldn't and couldn't be in it.

Re: Vic Mignogna
Well, that doesn't stop 4K Media from hiring people who usually work outside NYC. Sean Schemmel is a regular recurring VA for them & he now lives in LA. It wouldn't surprise me if Vic were to relocate to NYC to get dubbing work for them & the Pokemon Company to dub for Yugioh & Pokemon,...

Re: Vic Mignogna
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanbase appearently found out that Vic is now voicing a character in the mobile game "Duel Links" after one VA retired. But the catch is, he is under a different name. https://i.imgur.com/8RFTMdk.png The character is Rex Goodwin (the bulky guy), you can listen and check here...

Nope. 100% Chris Ayres in the movie.JohnnyCashKami wrote:Was it Daman Mills who voiced Freeza on FUNi's dub? Hard to distinguish the two because they sound nearly identical.

When has McFarland not voiced Baby since GT was dubbed? I can't think of a moment. Ultimate Tenkaichi You're right. Great Ape Baby was voiced by Vic Mignogna (Poor Vic). Curious, as McFarland voiced Yajirobe in the same game. That was a mistake in the credits. UT wasn't the first game to have them....

Re: Why some dubs were based on other dubs?
The reason several dubs were all based on the French dub is because they were all made by the same French company, the AB Groupe. I highly doubt all the different european dubs that were based on the AB video transfer were made by AB. AB didn't even dub the French dub - Sofi, who they hired, did. A...

Re: Missing rare English dubs thread
Anyways, not including in your list are the Phillipino English dubs of the DB and DBZ series, and the Animax dub of DB. How long did those run for? As I understand it, all of DB was covered, and some portion of DBZ was covered. This is where Songs Of A High-Spirited Saga originated from. Actor Dave...

Re: Missing rare English dubs thread
There is an English dub of something, I don't know what, for the original Dragon Ball by Japanese company Frontier Enterprises, who did some dubs for the Lupin III movies. It's only known to exist because actor Richard Nieskins, AKA Dick Host, had it listed on his LinkedIn at one point in time. Unfo...

With Toonami India gone, it seems very likely that the Bang Zoom dub of Super is too. It had a good run.

There's this one dub line where after Freeza sees Nail regrow an arm he says, "I'm going to have to make a copy of that." That always baffled me. When has Freeza gone around copying abilities?

Re: Speedy Dub or Big Green Dub
I think the Speedy dub is less funny and more sad. Of course these actors who sound like they barely speak the language are going to give awful performances. The Big Green dub is funny to me because of the contrast. Here you have actual professional voice actors, good ones even, trying to act a scri...

Re: Impersonating Sean Schemmel's SSR Goku Black Voice. Is It Possible?
There really isn't a one size fits all guide for impressions. Every voice is different and how you imitate them is different too. And since voice is primarily dependent on physicality you may simply not be capable of doing certain voices. But if you want to try the best I can tell you is to practice...
